"Arrived for dinner and drinks with a few girlfriends. Saw the cheese pull on the garlic bread from a viral TikTok and knew we had to try. Guy who seated us was eccentric but charming and efficient. Ordered our drinks from a good selection and all going well. Starter came out. They were nice. I ordered bruschetta which was nice. The mains really let it down through. The lasagne was burnt, dry and stodgy and the “garlic bread” was toasted cheese so disappointed. My friend pollo Milanese which was tasteless. My friend has a pizza and that was delicious she said. I would have made a compliant and sent it back but there wasn’t a single waiter or waitress to be seen for about 20 minutes. No one asked how our meal was, offered us any more drinks (we only had the one as they didn’t offer us another! . Overall TikTok fad it seems and super disappointed."

"Food took a while to arrive but we expected it as it’s a Saturday night. However, food was lukewarm when it arrived, chips were soggy and stodgy and parts of our order had been forgotten. This seems to be consistent with the last few times we have ordered"

"Attended with a family of six this afternoon for some lunch. Drinks order arrived at table, two drinks were not what we asked for so sent back. Mac Cheese arrived, VERY poorly presented and appeared to be a kids potion. Few of our group ordered chips and all were hard to the bite and very dark coloured so undercooked and dirty oil by look of it. VERY expensive for the food quality and presentation. Some staff didn’t appear to grasp English very well which I believe was the error in drinks order. Unfortunately won’t be returning for food and instead visiting Gouldings across the road which has much better presentation and slightly lower prices."

"1st time there today and we all had a lovely day. Lunch for 4 of us was quite expensive and the toy shop seemed rather pricey too. The childrens lunch box where you picked five items had no piece of fruit anywhere which was disappointing. Our 20 month old had fun but some things he was too small for. Lovely to see so many older children playing happily. Service: Dine in"

"The Bakehouse Cafe is now becoming one of our regular places to visit .It is small and is located on Clyde Street which is one of the main roads into Carluke coming from the Clyde Valley ; there is handy parking just across the road adjacent the well known Scotts Jam Factory.We regularly have some of the most tasty soups here as well as superb home baking.There are plently of tables and a very nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.Location wise it is not the easiest to find ; indeed it is very easy to drive past without knowing however I can testify that if you go you will not be disappointed."
