Cafe Oz - Carta

In Lille esp. in the nights there are not that many pubs available... But Queen's Head by Cafe Oz can still provide you fast food and then nice BEER...

Friendly staff and good location . Not a huge selection of beers but perfectly pleasant! Staff very approachable and helpful with selecting a good beer!

Great steaks. Nice touch on the free Japanese whisky at the end. Good wine. Great entertainment next door at the oz bar but just what was that blue stuff. Ver carta

Persuaded that this was a dish that locals have made their own I tried the Welsh rarebit . It was an interesting take on this dish, It was hot cheese or even thick cheese sauce? covering some ham and bread served in a deep bowl with a side order of chips. Thousands of calories on a plate. My wife 's steak was as ordered and enjoyed as I did my choice. The barman spoke English he from Australia , and was attentive.

We were in Lille for a football match. A lot of others were going to the Queens Head/Oz Bar. They are the same building walk from one to the other. The Oz bar wasn’t open at lunchtime. Beer is ok, but they put the prices up as football supporters were in town. A 15 min walk from stations/square area. It’s ok. Big TVs in the Oz bar. Limited menu when we were there in evening as busy. Just hot dogs and chips available. But the bar did the job.

I had amazing fun watching the football at this place. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the drinks were delicious and cheap (happy hour lasts pretty much all night!) and it has a big screen for viewing of sporting events. Also had a meal here and it was well priced and delicious. The serving size was also very generous! If you're looking to find the perfect spot to watch the game or just a good spot for food or some drinks, I really recommend this place. Ver carta

Fantastic bar, the staff were so polite and it was handy that a few of them spoke English quite well. This helped us in the drink and food selection department. the cocktails we tried were excellent and the food was absolutely terrific. I was so surprised at my meal as I expected classic pub food. This was above and beyond expectations. Duck Le orange if I've spelt that was terrifically cooked and a great sized serving. A nice clean well decorated bar with an add on to an Australian bar on the other side which would explain the english speakers I suppose. highly recommended.

Arriving in Lille in between dinner services we thought we'd grab a couple of pints here whilst waiting for the restaurants to open up for the evening. What a disappointment. The drinks are expensive (having just come from Germany where two 50cl beers could be got for 7 euros, being charged 13 euros was a bit painful) and the seating uncomfortable. We were perched on a couple of bar stools at a high table as the other seating was taken up by a rugby watching crowd and the chairs were old, wobbly and really just not acceptable. With queues at the bar and slow service there isn't really anything to recommend this place other than it serves as a very basic bar.

Stumbled upon this place and thought we stop for a couple of drinks. First of all ordered drinks and was charged incorrectly. Questioned it and was Made to feel silly being silly as their decent English when back to french. Thought for the sake of a few euros really? Suddenly it was like would you like me to change your drinks or give you the difference in money? Ah so you do understand. Drinks please. Thought it was just us but as we were sat indoors it happened to 3 other men too! The occurrence happened when ordering beers they would charge you 6€ for a large 50cl but provide you with a 25cl glass. They were very apoligetic when they charged a french man who spotted this straight away hah... Ver carta
