Absolutely amazing meal for my father in laws 90th birthday. Food was amazing, staff were fantastic and went above and beyond . Definitely going back soon

This was my first visit to the restaurant with my friend, who had been there before. The seafood pie we had was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the pub was warm and cozy on a miserable day. I will definitely be back.

What a fantastic place! Went with family for lunch. No table booked but they squeezed us in. It was busy and this was a Monday! All the mains homemade. My girlfriend had what she said was the best sea food pie in her life. I had the steak pie with homemade chips. They do giant Yorkshire puddings as big as a plate! Very disappointed after been here on three previous occasions. My partners food the nachos were all burnt round the edges they replaced it no problem. I had the surf and turf tried to cut the steak with a normal knife as the waiter never bothered to introduce a steak knife the chips were not good the gardens peas were microwaved.it’s a Shame because we liked it here maybe they have changed the chef.but we will not be back for food

There were 27 of us in our party , so we had pre booked for lunch . The service was excellent we were all served within minutes of each other .The range of meals we had chosen was everything from the corned beef hash pie very popular to cod and chips and chickpea curry . Everyone cleared their plate . We loved it so much that we are now planning to come here for our Christmas meal . Excellent food , value for money , excellent staff . Highly recommended .

The use of the word "homemade" is often overused, but at The Railway, it is clear that everything truly is homemade. We tried a variety of dishes including salmon fillet, chicken Kiev, Railway Burger, Southern Fried Chicken Burger, and Lamb Suet Pudding, and each one was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly. This was our first time dining here, but it certainly won't be our last. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for high-quality, home-cooked meals. Ver carta

The restaurant had a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff were excellent, even taking the time to ask about any allergies. The two ladies serving us were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The menu was extensive, with options for those with smaller appetites. The food was delicious, warm, and beautifully presented. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends. They also had a selection of three hand-pulled beers, including Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Dizzy Blonde. I can't remember the third option, but I chose the Dizzy Blonde and it was satisfactory.

Was very disappointed that the railway wouldn 't take my booking for my husbands birthday we had 9 adults and 2 children wanting to celebrate his birthday and they said they would not take a booking for more than 6 inclusive of children? Not even 2 tables of 5 and a high chair??? I asked if this was Company policy and he advised that it wasn 't fair on the kitchen staff as there was 2 menus on a Sunday??? As a ex licensee I would have been very happy with a booking for well over £100 especially after Covid. Well we have got somewhere else to celebrate that will accommodate all my family together .

It was a wet, miserable Saturday afternoon when we visited to have dinner with family. It had been recommended so our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. The large and varied menu offered enough choice to suit a wide range of palates. The portions too were very generous. You won 't leave here hungry! 'Homemade ' is a phrase that features a lot in this menu and here it reflects in the well cooked tasty fare that appears on the plate. A companion had the Yorkshire pudding starter, the size of a plate, which came with lashings of gravy. It looked so good I ordered a small one as a side for my own main meal. I had potato skins as a starter topped with bacon and cheese. More like... Ver carta
