We had the pleasure to get a table with view over the square. Service was friendly, efficient. Our food was excellent, great value for money, goos quality too. This could look like a tourist trap from outside, but it is not.

Good food, good service, good location. What more could you want? We enjoyed the stickers on the plates (nice touch), too! The nice thing is that we can get into this restaurant with our Aunt who is in a wheelchair. That's not always easy. Ver carta

Ate on the terrace facing the old town plaza. Nice ambiance. Food was great. Portions very large. Had the weinerschnitzel, which was great, and a peach and raspberry over ice cream dessert. The other meals also looked fantastic. Prices appropriate.

Whenever I am in Freiberg I go to the Schankhaus which is in same building and shares the kitchen chefs with the Ratskeller. I have known almost all bars and restaurants in Freiberg for years and right now this is the best value you...can get. First they have SKY ... means you can watch football on several screens. Second, they serve a great variety of beers for resonable prices. Third the food is delicious and affordable!! If you had to choose between the other huge restaurant on the Burgstrasse and the Schankhaus, I'd always pick the Schankhaus. They give you the best value and the best food at the same time. I will be there again for sure.

Our team of five enjoyed a fine meal at the Ratskeller. The food was excellent, the service quick and professional, the prices surprisingly less than other comparable restaurants. The cuisine is traditional German and offers a diverse selection of meat and vegetable dishes. The diner...has so much to choose from and will surely find something to satisfy his palette. The food's quality was evident and had that delicious from scratch taste. We especially enjoyed the vast selection of desserts including apple strudel and ice cream sundaes. So make sure you save room for it! The restaurant decor is perfect for the tourist wanting that authentic German dining experience. I can only recommend this... Ver carta
