The restaurant has a nice "family" atmosphere, service is quick, excellent hungarian wines, authentic food, very close to the lake!

Nice restaurant in the middle of Schliersee. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice decoration, comfortable surroundings. Food was very good and service prompt.

Eat there on Sunday 11th Sept - both meals were nice and tasty- well worth the money. I had the Pork medallions and my partner had the chicken and spinach pasta dish.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. All dishes had wonderful flavours. The food is very artfully arranged on the plates Service and friendliness of waiters perfect. Prices reasonable for what you get. Definitely a must if you visit Schliersee.

I really enjoyed the food at restaurant David. We had the huge meat platter with Pork, Chicken and Cordon Bleu plus some crumbed mushrooms. With the salad and rice there was just enough food for us both about €27 I particularly enjoy the chilly sauce they give at the tablet. The service could have been a little happier and a little more charming.

We stayed in the town of Schliersee for 2 weeks this summer with family and ate at this restaurant 4 times! It is very pleasant with really good menu selection, good wine and beer selection and very generous portion sizes. The decor is very modern and spacious and I like the fact they have not filled every square inch with a table meaning that you can have a meal without falling over other people and without them falling over you. The menu is printed in English which is really useful especially with fussy children!

We ate here last night after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed- David recommended a very nice beer for me and a white wine for my husband. He had the goulash soup as an entree and it was hot and very tasty. We both ordered the half portions of the Wiener schnitzel as we are learning that the normal German serves are huge! The schnitzels were wonderful, as was the huge salad and fries. We finished with a coffee. Total cost was 32euros and unlike many restaurants in Germany, they take credit cards for over 20 euro. A very helpful owner who helped us with the German translations and was very attentive. Thank you. Highly recommend this for a meal.

Well what can I say...after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor was looking forward to eating here but was sadly underwhelmed, it may have been a one off but wasnt what it was described as...we had the platter for 2 which looked amazing when it came and looked enormous but didnt live up to the way it looked, firstly its made to look bigger than it is as meat is piled on top of chips and potato dumplings and platter for 2 would have expected 2 of everything to taste, only 1 chicken drumstick and 1 bit of some other kind of meat, so certainly not for 2!! sadly the meat was chewy too and only luke warm, the only thing hot was the ratatouille...and seen others mentioning free schnapps with their...

I was on a holiday near Schliersee last week, and I was very pleased to find a restaurant with Hungarian meals on it's menu. Since I've never found really delicious Hungarian food abroad (I am from Hungary), I was a bit sceptic at first, but my scepticism vanished totally after the first bite. The Fishermans's soup was better, than in many of the Hungarian restaurants, and the Gundel pancake (which is one of my very favourite desserts) was fantastic too!
