"We ate here twice last month, both times for dinner. Le Morgan only accepts cash and is a man show where very little English is spoken, but this does not prevent good communication with an enthusiastic host. The food is very good and the house cooking style and it meets exactly like it on two previous visits over 10 years or so. During our visit we had starters of eggs, interesting poched in red wine, and a very large mixed salad. My wife enjoyed the Brattaube on the first visit that she did it again on the second. I can confirm that it was excellent as the boeuf bourguignan. The chocolate dessert was a hit like the cheese board. Wines are largely local and not particularly cheap, but we had a paw that was very pale and good. Quite exactly how the boss/owner does everything without serving slowly is beyond me. Very impressive. Open for lunch and dinner, but not on Monday. If you are looking for a good meal in a beautiful atmosphere that the bank will not break, this is the place to go to Savigny."

This little restaurant is just great. The owner is super friendly and appealing. Excellent offer of food and all very good. Escargots and beef, all fresh. Fast service, wonderful wines and all at moderate prices. Even our dog was best looked after. This is where I like to come back

The 25€ menu is perfect, suggesting typical dishes from Bourgogne ! Very well served, the owner is the Chef and waiter, taking care of all the customers by himself ! He takes the time to explain what the dishes are made of. The timing was perfect, for a single person serving 5 tables and cooking, I give him a 10/5 !!

We toured Burgundy on cool Monday when we stopped in Savigny les Beaune, hoping to find some lunch. This restaurant looked attractive, and the menu was very reasonable. The owner/host does everything from welcome to cooking to bartender! Friendly and unpretentious atmosphere and the food was delicious. Well done with the flair of someone who knows what they do in the kitchen. And very cheap we were so glad to have stopped here. Merci Monsieur! As others have said, it's just a bar operation, but there's a cash point right on the street and it's hardly a big problem.

Visited here with the family. For a restaurant where no English is spoken, there 's no children 's menu and everything is done by one man, we had a lovely time!! The owner is self-deprecating, playful and our combined lack of language skills made for some humorous 'conversations. ' A restaurant stands or falls on the quality of its food and, in this aspect, everything here is perfect, from entreé to dessert, the fayre was flavourful and prepared beautifully. All in all, if your visiting Savigny les Beaune, go here, the prices are reasonable, the food delightful and the whole experience a treat.

La Morgan is a small and homely French restaurant in Savigny les Beaune. On the night we were there the chef doubled as the barman and waiter and worked tirelessly to ensure we (a party of 8 people) and our fellow customers (2 tables of two guests) had a great dinning experience with delicious food! Starters are large portions, we had lyonnaise salad with poached egg (you need to ask for runny yolk if that's how you like it), Mozzarella and tomato salad, ham salad, and melon with ham all were delicious. Main courses were simple but beautifully cooked we mostly had lamb chops and steak. Wine list was good and we opted for cote de nuit which was €37.50 a bottle (second cheapest on list) and ta...

We had a lunch in Le Morgan in February, 2016. It was Saturday, village seems deserted and mainly all places were closed. We found this place occasionally. We were only clients during all lunch time. Welcome was kind, a man who welcomed us, directed us to a table and brought menus. He seems rather happy. After the collecting our orders, man goes to kitchen and started cooking. Than we understood, that he was one and only person at work in this restaurant. Food was really good. Not high end, more like homemade, but quality and delicious. My wife had salad with goat cheese. It was really big and enough for one person to eat lunch. Ordered by me eggs, sauteed in red wine and beef as main dish w...

We were staying in Savigny-les-bueane and were looking for somewhere to have dinner. Amusingly we followed another set of diners around the village looking at menus and nothing appealing. The final place they stopped at was here and they went in. The menu sounded good and the prices were surprisingly very reasonable so we also went in. We're so glad we did. This place is literally run by one man. What a legend! He took the orders, made the drinks and waited on us all. The service wasn't perfect but he was as attentive as he possibly could have been so how could anyone mind?! The food was fantastic, really, really excellent and we had 3 courses without meaning to. I had the jambon terrine, ch...
