Restaurant le Sud - Carta

I eat here several times a year, and have taken friends too. I really like the food, there is a good wine selection and a lovely venue. Marie is very friendly.

We had such an amazing dinner at Restaurant Le Sud! The atmosphere, service, wine and food were wonderful. Marie, the owner, came and spoke to us and was so friendly and welcoming. Best meal we had in Perpignan!

We have been here a few times this year and we have enjoyed our meals immensely. Delicious fish one night and wonderfully cooked rib steak the second. Very tasty and yummy ! Had a great dinning experience at Le Sud!! Started off with a wonderful Tuna app. Had the Grill Seafood plate which was excellent. Great bottle of Wine with dinner suggested by Marie. Had an awesome strawberry desert.Marie the owner was great!! She took time to make suggestions and explain menu and just chat about food and traveling. Definitely the best dinning experience we had on our trip!!

I had a lunch there toay. The restaurant as fll, but I was lucky to discover it early and book a table on the patio. The team is helpful and friendly. The food was very good. I took the 25€ menu and got Crab rillettes, grilled sardines and a Catalan cream. A bit expansive for what you get, but probably due to the festival. It is safer to book uring the Festival period as the place is close to the Minimes and well known.

We had a great meal here, the food was good and the menu different from other restaurants that we had been to in Perpignan. There was a lot of good seafood choices and the meat was higher quality than other places we had been to in France. The menu was totally in French and has a lot of detail which was clearly explained to us by the lady running the restaurant. The food here was absolutely amazing - by far the best meal we had in Carcassonne and Perpignan. We had a 3 course meal each which we struggled to finish but it was fantastic. The main course is set up to be very similar with the main difference being the meat/fish and sauce.Despite being very busy with a large party booking, everyone was still very tentative. I'd recommend you book before going as it can be busy. Live singing throughout the night with guitar which is most enjoyable and a true display of musical talent. NEVER EAT HERE!! Worst dining experience on any holiday ever. The appetizers took over an hour to arrive after ordering, and I ended up hospitalized with food poisoning from the mussels (confirmed by emergency doctors). The owner explained the very slow service by telling us all about how she staffs the restaurant (we don't care, seat less tables then!) and offered no discount, free dessert, nothing! It took 3 hours for drink, appy, & main. We definitely didn't risk coffee or dessert. When my partner called to tell her about my poisening, she begrudgingly apologized after deflecting responsibility (I was vomiting by 6 am, it was your food!) and offered no refund, partial or otherwise. Do not miss out on this restaurant - it was amazing. The food was delectable, the ambiance and environment were beautiful (full of plants, candles, table lights), the service was kind and friendly, and overall I had a great experience. I ordered the chicken dish (see recommended) and was extremely pleased. It had a wonderful taste to it, along with the other dishes of potatoes, vegetables, and cream of curry. The presentation of the dishes was also very nice. The 2 others with me were also highly satisfied with their meals. Wine was good, dessert was original, and waiting time was perfect.
