"It is attention to detail from start to finish that makes the difference in a very good restaurant like this one. The place is very smart looking, gleaming white tablecloths, a flower on every table, very clean and staff that are cheerful and friendly. So far so good. I had the Piquitos as a starter, a delightful mixture of morsels from the chef 's repertoire, all of which looked and tasted marvelous. On the menu the Piquitos seems very large but they ARE morsels and most people could easily deal with the full starter. As a main dish I wanted to stick to the traditional Peruvian (I will try the modern ones next time) So I chose 'Ají de Gallina entera con papas moradas ' which is corn fed chicken breast with a yellow chilli sauce with walnut parmesan cheese and blue potato. The chicken was lovely and tender, if slightly over, but that did not detract from the dish too much, the sauce was surprisingly good, I had some doubts about chilli in this sauce but is was just right. I also sampled the 'Tamal de Pollo ' or Chicken Tamales (Peruvian style), which is chicken and corn meal cooked in banana leaves and served with red onion salad. I must say this was surprisingly good too very moist and succulent. Over all I thought this restaurant was superb, everything I ate was full of flavour, unusual, well cooked and looked great. Serrano is not a cheap place to eat but it is worth the extra euros. Now to end this review I would like to go back to the beginning and talk about attention to detail. I would have given the place the 5th star if it were not for two things. The first was the potatoes, some of the potatoes served to me had eyes, it may not seem like much but I don 't want to pick eyes out of potatoes when I 'm having a meal in such a nice restaurant. Second and lastly the flower on our table was awful, the poor thing was wilted and had seen better days, all the other tables had youthful bright and perky flowers and I wanted one on my table too!."

Unglaublich gutes peruanisches Restaurant mit einem sehr aufmerksamen, aber entspannten Service. Wir hatten als Vorspeise peruanische Tapas und als Hauptgericht marinierte Streifen von Rinderfilet Ein absolutes Erlebnis. Unbedingt reservieren!

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service nett und engagiert. Im Vergleich zum Rocoto (anderer Peruaner in Berlin) sind die Gerichte etwas weniger pompös angerichtet, dafür ist Serrano etwas günstiger und hier gibt es mehr Platz auch für größere Gruppen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Not cheap (about 40 euro/person , there really delicious, interesting and high quality cue. The original Peruvian taste sometimes remains on the stretch (fusion with other claws, , new combinations and tastes can be experienced. Meine Familie und ich haben heute dort gegessen, wir sind positiv beeindruckt, wir würden gerne wieder kommen. Das essen hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Das Personal ist super freundlich und das Essen kommt relativ schnell. Wenn man richtig gut peruanisch essen möchte dann empfehlen wir das Serrano Restaurant in Berlin- Wilmersdorf.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Good, authentic Peruvian kitchen. Mostly fish and meat dishes so not suitable for vegans or vegetarian. It's quiet high in price but worth it for what you get. The portions are not really big, it's meant to eat two courses at least or better three. If you're there for the first time try the mixed platter of starters and if you have a sweet tooth the mixed platter of desserts in the end ;

Really enjoyed this Peruvian restaurant. This May 2014 they are offering Ecuatorian food but the traditional Peruvian dishes are still available. The Piquitos showed the Appetizer's chef creativity, turning old classics into delicious bite-size delicacies: papa a la Huancaina, chicharron de cerdo, ceviche, quinoa roja, anticucho, causa were among the ten small bites. Main dishes snd desserts were also good. Not easy to find such Peruvian renditions elsewhere. Ver carta

Where shall I start... living just 5 mins walk away, imagine that I have never went to this amazing, gem of a restaurant! What a feast of tastebuds! Chef Enrique Servan is a true artist in his kitchen! This restaurant could make a fine addition to the restaurants scene anywhere: London, Paris, New York, Miami, Dubai. Yet it is right here in Berlin. Als ich vor Ort die Speisekarte öffnete, hatte ich den Eindruck, dass die Preise deutlich höher waren als auf der Homepage angeführt. Im Nachhinein konnte ich eine Diskrepanz von 30 50% ! bestätigen z.B. Lomo Saltado 22,60 EUR auf der Homepage, tatsächlicher Preis ca. 32 EUR . Ich meldete dies gleich dem Restaurant, das in keiner Weise darauf reagierte, deshalb gehe ich davon aus, dass die falschen Angaben vorsätzlich sind und damit spekuliert wird, dass man nach Entdeckung der echten Preise trotzdem sitzen bleibt, da ein Lokalwechsel in Berlin viel Zeit kosten kann.
