"This is the first negative review I have had to write as I prefer to use Yelp and Trip Advisor to recommend places/services to others. However, I had such a negative experience at La Via that I feel it is necessary to share with others in hopes of preventing anyone from getting the same horrible treatment. I ordered the grilled branzino, and after waiting for over 1 hour when the restaurant was not busy, it was finally delivered. It smelled and tasted very fishy. I eat fish all the time and I am not particular about it, and in fact this is the first time I have had to send a dish back. I was so hungry after waiting for so long, but it smelled and tasted so bad that I was afraid to eat it. I apologetically told the waitress (who was very sweet) that I did not like it. She said she was so, so sorry and took it back to the kitchen. She asked if I wanted anything else, like a simple pasta that they could prepare quickly. I ordered a plain penne with tomato sauce to be safe. The pasta was just okay, quite plain but I suppose that is what I ordered and they were in a hurry at this point. I was shocked when I went to pay the bill and saw that I was charged for the pasta and the fish! I asked the nice waitress, and she said she was very sorry but the chef told her that the fish was not bad, it was my fault that I did not like it and therefore he said I had to pay for it. I have never heard of such a thing! I have worked in the restaurant business- even if you as the chef or server disagree with the customer's opinion, you do the courteous thing and do not charge for a meal not eaten. When I returned to the hotel (Zur Post) and told the woman at reception about this, she was very surprised. She said the chef at this restaurant is very good, but that he is not currently out of town so perhaps this is the problem. I hope that this was a unique experience and that this chef does not treat other customers this way. We all make mistakes, no big deal, it happens. Perhaps it was cooked correctly it was just a bad/old fish. Not his fault. Be a big enough human to drop the ego and be courteous to customers."

the la via is a smallod among the pasinger restaurants. just a few steps away from the train station, something hidden, it offers tasty eating to appropriate trips. the service is unobtrusive friendly.

everything in the local very clean, the service courteous, attentive and friendly.I decided for a pizza mare and was thrilled. Here there are no TK goods but fresh mosquitoes, pulpo etc. (and the plentiful).The price is completely justified.The quality has still prevailed here. bravo for this.I'll be back!

we were there with our 8 months old son. very child-loving staff, it was immediately asked if we would like a conder chair. we have eaten pasta as an appetizer and meat and fish as a main store. the tellers were lovingly decorated and eating was simply very well tasted. fish was still lightly glazed and the meat was exactly right cooked. can only recommend one evening in the la via. the recommended for the wee are absolutely to be taken into account!
