"I booked a table over Instagram, as I was aware how busy they get. When we arrived no table had been reserved for us and we had to wait for someone to vacate. No apology was given and we felt as though we had put...the team member out. My husbands can of drink was brought promptly, but my coffee took around 10 minutes. We ordered and we waited 30 minutes for 2 breakfasts. When they were delivered, we received no apology for the delay. The food was really disappointing, everything was overcooked, the bottom of the eggs were burnt. As was the bacon and the mushrooms tasted old and sour. It was such a shame, as the breakfasts are £11 each, which is a lot, especially when it is poorly made. The other issues were that peope arriving in their bikes, kept piling in and walking through the venue without any face masks on and were not getting challenged on this. We understand that this is a cafe aimed at people with their bikes however, this should not take presidency over the other customers. This is the second time we have visited and we sadly will not be back."

this caf bicycle shop as excellent location at the harbour in the barbican area. there is a pleasant outside seating area and a deceptive large interior. it is characteristic and quirky, the service was very friendly and we enjoyed two excellent flat white coffees. Ver carta

Back at this unique café featured in the Independent Coffee Guide. Near the harbour. Excellent food and coffee with a difference. A cheesy burrito wrap today, generously filled with egg, bacon, beans, cheese and hashbrown. Doggy friendly. Bike friendly. Lycra-clad friendly. Alcohol friendly. All friendly....

Popped in for simple quick sandwich and a coffee. Had the bacon and cranberry with brie. It's all sourdough in here I think so if you're not a sourdough fan then avoid. Cappuccino arrived about 10 minutes after ordering, I was a bit bemused as...it was served in a glass, no I don't mean a glass cup with a handle. Served in a glass, no difficulty to pick the glass up as the coffee was lukewarm at best. Had it been a piping hot coffee then you wouldn't have been able to puck it up. Sandwich arrived some 15-20 minutes later. Nice fresh cooked bacon. The salad that accompanied was just some leaves no tomatoes, onion or cucumber and the leaves were in a sort of lemon oil dresding that really did...

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
