A great place for a drink and a bite to eat. Staff are excellent. Tables maybe a little close together. Good choice in the menu and good value for money

Ambience was fantastic. Great service. Burgers were a bit overcooked. Cheesecake was lovely as was the cider. Menu was a bit limited but enjoyed the experience.

good restaurant with beautiful ambiente and a lively clientele. eating is good and from an expected price range. the service was attentive. was a few times before and would eat there.

Not the best restaurant I was expecting..food was ok, but they didn’t have a great variety, nothing extraordinary. Won’t go again, since there are restaurants in town with better food, and not that overpriced. I was really disappointed!

excellent mood, eating and service. it was so a little disappointed that we had the worst table in the house, at the back of the gents' toilet door, but that was quickly changed and we settled in a comfortable window seat. cocktails were also great! thanks to molly for good service!

There was a star anise hidden in my red cabbage which was not nice to bite in to. The roast potatoes were from a previous day and had been recooked and were like bullets. We were sat next to the kitchen door which slammed when used. Staff were lovely and the building has interesting character

We booked Rocksalt based on recent reviews and we were not disappointed. Even though we waited a little longer than expected to be served and for our food (proved it was freshly cooked) and one of our preferred menu choices not being available, it gave us chance to have a relaxed, late lunch and shockingly, actually talk to each other! Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back when we are next in Bexhill.

we enjoyed eating. service was slow and sometimes we were brought other diners drinks. our table was not suitable in the window with a very low sofa to eat from very unpleasant and the sun seemed very hot and unbearable asked to be shadowed, but only could a fraction move through wind, but the wind was not so strong that it did not make any difference. I had to buy more koks to defeat and cool my family. we did not stop after dessert, because we can no longer sit in the sun. we had asked ourselves to move to another table, but they said it was reserved.

The roast was decent but the potatoes were old and tough. The burger was pretty small and basic, the burger sauce was non existent. The donburi was lacking sauce too that we had to ask for more, without it it would have been a lot of plain rice. The time it took for our food order to be taken was long as well as the time it took for the food to arrive. We have nothing against live music but when it started none of us could have a conversation, in fact the staff were having to shout the specials to other customers. Maybe it's best saved for later in the evening. All in all it was pretty average which is a shame for how much you are spending along with what is a great looking restaurant/bar.
