WOW! Just tried Rockwood Bistro for a 3 course lunch. The standard of food is far above any restaurant we've eaten at in the area and the portion sizes were perfect for us, Outstanding! From the 'secret ' entrance to the skillful food; Rockwood sets a new standard for the North West gourmet seeker. Intense but still fresh flavours are rarely achieved but run through the menu. Our seafood choices were the best we have had in a long while. The most perfectly cooked lamb was enjoyed by a fellow dîner. Well done guys!

We had a lovely leisurely lunch with our sister and brother in law, our first visit to the restaurant. Pauline looked after us really well and made us very welcome. The food was delicious as were the drinks, definitely the best restaurant in the area, perfect for special occasions. Will definitely be back in the future. David and Rosemary.

a great greeting from pauline as we came in to ask our first names she has addressed us through the service. the restraunt has a beautiful atmosphere, a cozy feeling to him. the menu is good with a lot of choice and also the same with the wine list. the food was excellent, the scallop star was especially delicious and the filet mignon was perfectly boiled and tasty.all in all we enjoyed it and will soon go back. thanks to pauline and the team for a nice night.

The best experience I've ever had! The hostess and all staff make you and your party feel like you are the most important guests they've ever had. The food is freshly made and is most flavorsome and well presented. The table is yours for the whole night, so there is absolutely no rush. Kid-friendliness: I'm sure they would be welcome. Though, as a guest, I would insist they are exceptionally well behaved. I don't go out with the intention of having a bad time because the guardians of children can't teach them respectfulness and appropriate behavior!

they are ready to eat a tantalizing michelin fine food and experience sensational gastronomic theatrical experience. if you enjoy the best prepared beautifully presented dishes combined with exemplary service and weeping and drinks, this is the only place outside of london, that is the place to go! Many thanks to the chef chris, we always enjoy her eating sir, and thanks pauline for a very attentive host and julian for knowing about wee. you always knock it out of the park! really exemplary in every look! we cannot wait to return to our next special culinary experience
