"I have been a regular at this pub for many years and have always enjoyed a great meal. Unfortunately, my recent visit was not up to par. Initially, we were told that the prawn lollipops were not available, but soon after we were seated, they were suddenly everywhere. Only three out of the six starters we ordered were brought out, leaving my partner without her dish. The young waiter mentioned that they were extremely busy, but that is not an acceptable excuse. They should have been better prepared for the Easter holidays and busy weather. The main course of smoked trout and potato salad was disappointing, as it was mostly just a plate of leaves. Overall, most of the food was good and the staff did their best considering the crowd. However, better planning and service could have been expected from the Rose and Crown. It's a shame to say it wasn't the best dining experience this time."

Five of us, including three vegetarians and three gluten-free individuals, all enjoyed delicious meals over two courses. The bill came to £150, with only a small amount spent on alcohol. Ver carta

typical pub with a good selection of food and a great service. they have a large escaping area in the free and are family-friendly with a lot of space for the children walking around outside.

My husband and i Went for Sunday lunch Easter Sunday, we both ordered roast beef, what a disappointment the roast potatoes could only have been put in the oven for 5 minutes because by no stretch of the imagination could they be called roast potatoes and the were luke warm, gravy watery, definitely would not return. Came across a lovely looking pub in the heart of Surrey and popped in for a cosy lunch. The food was standard I ordered a burger which was clearly frozen however tasty! May I say massive credit to ted A. The man the myth the legend. We even popped in for a maccies afterward he finished work. LEGEND. only good thing about this pub.

if I could give this pub/restaurant 6* that I would. we originally went to the rose and the olive branches on the street and the menu was dirty so that we continued to eat here on the off-kance that they never served. they were absolutely busy, but we still have a table, had incredible service and eating was incredible. the personal and management get full marks, our waitress, catie was incredible (they even noticed that we needed a drink before we did it! I'm amazed. well done

"stovells chobham surrey it is a hidden gem of this place with its South American influenced French theme menu. home made stovells gin is the series of the day my ex-college girl has made, now excellent chef fernando, and younger has come far. he will be on Saturday's kitchen this week with chef james martin, probably talking about the Mexican and Argentine punsch he put into his eating. the settings are more homely, but this is chobham for them a real quantendorf that is fucked somewhere in deep surrey. the entrance was greeted by a warm open fire from dried of wood and a cocktail or two. low ceilings, but the beams make them feel like they could go into a very lush pub! amuse bouche was a beautiful surprise, and the wood fired baked brot was delicious. smoked butter to go with it. grilled makrele, terrine, braided brisket, cadjau, petit pois asacienne and a whisper of chard all washed with a fine Spanish white, made it a very Mediterranean afternoon with a much taste and a beautiful environment too. the restaurant was full and the chairs were really comfortable, we enjoyed it immensely. my schokopude was perfectly plated and I loved the milcheis that came with him. the cheese selection was incredibly well thought-out and well presented with its own small card! 10/10 well made chef fernando, happy to see how great her restaurant does: and thank you for her generousness"
