Always excellent food and great service . The food is freshly cooked which I think is quite rare nowadays. The meals are good value for money. There is sually a nice fish dish not necessarily battered! The specials are always fab.

Beautiful location and friendly atmosphere. Food is good quality comes out hot and we really enjoyed it. Extremely busy pub so it is essential to book. Lovely garden and parking was fine. Downside for us was the slow service at least 45 mins from being seated, ordering and getting our food.

I brought my mother and wife to this restaurant for Mother's Day, along with my children, and we had an absolutely fantastic meal. The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even accommodated our picky children. We will definitely be returning soon!

Been wanting to go here for ages! Managed to book a table after 2 answerphone messages and a conversation. Turned up on a Saturday night to find no table due to a miscommunication ! We were finally offered a totally unsuitable table in the walkway right by the bar. We were very disappointed and left. Our evening was saved by the Saffron in Brackley. See my review! Ver carta

We had Sunday lunch here with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The landlord and landlady were very welcoming on arrival and the service was great throughout our meal. The menu provided plenty to choose from, and the specials were excellent. The Sunday roast came with locally-sourced beef which was very tasty, tender and plentiful, together with a good selection of vegetables.

About twenty of us flew into Hinton in the Hedges and descended on Rhona and her team for lunch. At her request nearly all of us had pre-ordered so she had a list of names and orders. She had prepared an area to seat us all, and the piping hot and very tasty food was served incredibly promptly, by Rhona and her friendly smiling team. Individual payment was also made simple. We were all very impressed and look forward to returning to this delightful village pub. Thank you all.

Were expecting some great food from this pub as researched it thoroughly for a lovely sunday lunch with the family. The starters were disappointing (the spring roll was all soggy and undercooked inside). There was hardly any meat with the roast but worst of all there was not much choice of sides like coulifouer and cheese which is a MUST for all sunday roasts? The potatoes seemed like they've been reheated at least 3 times or cooked the day before as they were waxy inside. All in all we won't be back. Ver carta
