"we had not visited the rose and the krone in one because, so decided to go on Easter Sunday at midday. this pub has always given a good service, but this time we were very disappointed! first they brought us two meal times that we had not ordered, for a few who sat on the other side of the restaurant. we ordered truthahnbrust without carrots and a part of the cauliflower cheese, and pork without extras. it came and we found that they had put carrots on the truthahn and not on the vernacular. then I realized that I had no filling with the truthahn. there were no waiting staff on the floor and after a few minutes you came out of the kitchen, so I asked him about the filling and also the flower cabbage I had ordered. he went to the kitchen to get the missing items. after a few minutes he returned with both. at this time I was halfway through my lunch. I found that my brokkoli was so hard, it was impossible ro cut. the waiter came and asked if everything was in order with our meals. we explained the problems we had, and he answered that he would go and sort what we found strange, how we had already eaten! They could not say that they were busy. we booked for 12.00 clock, so there were only a few people we arrived. they seemed to have only 2 waiters, there were no one on the floor to treat problems with food or drink, they should arise. we never have a statement or an apology from someone. the rose and the crown were always something very special to us. we always had a good service and good eating in the time we were before. this was so disappointing, especially as we booked it a few weeks ago and we look forward to it. I think we need to look for another special restaurant for the future. that is really upsetting me!"

We came for lunch yesterday and we’re really impressed with how quickly the roasts were served. It was my friends birthday and they put a candle in her pudding which was a nice touch. We will be back definitely!

We came on Easter Sunday for lunch with family .Sat in the garden lovely sunny day .Had drinks then inside for our lunch .Had the turkey .Food was delicious.Staff very friendly .Lovely atmosphere Will definitely be returning

Went tonight for catch up with friends, great menu and super service from staff who were helpful and friendly especially Ella who was helpful and checked in on us to make sure everything was good. Well done, we will be back again soon Ver carta

the half of the menu was not available, it took almost an hour for us to order our food, eating came only warm, not cold, but almost, we complained without sense. the half of the pudding menu was not available. what an absolute catastrophe. Sure...to say we won't go again!!!

We went for Sunday lunch and had a lovely, generous serving of food. My wife chose the sea bass, as she loves fish, and I had the meat trio. I struggled to finish my meal, but everything was delicious. The roast potatoes were particularly delightful. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

The service at this restaurant was very slow. Customers were sending food back and items were missing. However, we were pleased with the Starters that came while we waited. 40 minutes later, our Mains appeared. My wife always orders the SEA BASS FILLETS, which are always presented nicely with the white side up. Ver carta

had a Fab menu tonight, the staff was super friendly and attentive! the food was excellent, we had the signed burger who was amazing, the aromen and cooked for perfection. plus the fish and chips, once again the fish and were teig. to perfection cost. followed by a sticky toffee pudding and mini pavlowa not that mini )not complain very recommended

Been here 4-5 times over last 3 years and it's got worse every time...this is our last visit as tonight the service and food was terrible, the restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night...we ordered drinks then waited nearly 20 mins before I walked...to the bar to remind the kids that we'd ordered wine ! Then food came out around 45 mins later the steak was grissly, fatty and inedible ! My meal pork belly was cold.. We had a refund and left and won't be returning.
