"Sadly the Gasthof Adler was closed so we tried this out as our second choice. Prices were higher and it was quite off the beaten path. It seemed well loved and was nearly full when we arrived just before 8pm. The waitress said the 3 of us (2 adults and a 4yo) could squeeze around the table for 2 if we wanted but the food would be a while coming as they were so busy. Menu was fairly small. We tried the Maultaschen with egg and cheese, which I found far too salty and regretted adding the cheese to the dish due to the taste. The side salad was very good. The Hof-Pfanne was also very good. My husband said the house beer wasn't great, though I enjoyed my Radler. Service was friendly and faster than expected. We appreciated that the waitress told us the price along with the details of the daily special. They have a small kids play room with a number of broken and small toys, which could have done with a good vacuuming. All in all the meal was ok, but I think you could find better food and value for money elsewhere. We wouldn't go back."

"had an salat with (5) scampis for 15 euro. salat us in particular the salatsoße were very tasteful. was too much mais in salat. scampis was salted. brot to salad dry and not edible. Knockdip tastefully like tubenmayonaise. in total very sweet.I had been thinking about the bad preparation on demand from the waitress. salat was almost completely returned. was still completely billed. there was also no compensation offer (e.g. dessert or coffee) or an apology. therefore my assessment applies to the personal."

"Ich hab echt schon gut gegessen aber das Essen hier ist der Hammer, was der Koch alles in der Küche zaubert und Ideen hat kann man nicht sagen sondern muss man erleben, die Chefin ist super freundlich ich denke es gibt bei jedem gute und schlechte Tage und was die Frau alles leistet in ihrem Gasthof muss man erstmal machen sie schießt ihr Fleisch selber und kann dir alles rund ums Fleisch erklären es ist also immer beste Qualität es kommt nichts schlechtes ins Haus für ihre Gäste Hut ab. Ich und mein Mann können es nur empfehlen wer auf echt gute Küche steht muss unbedingt hier her kommen."

"Hier heisst es klar und deutlich : Erstmal eine Pause machen das super Essen genießen selbst gebrautes Bier probieren und sich einfach wohlfühlen. Die Mitarbeiter in diesem Restaurant ,egal ob Service ,Bar oder Küche machen einen super Job. Egal wie oft ich dort bin und egal was ich gegessen und getrunken habe ich war jedes einzelne mal wunschlos glücklich. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und einladend. "we arrived at the burgrestaurant in the afternoon. You should know or find out what time you can drive up to the burg. for a small fee, the driveway with the car is only possible hourly for a quarter of an hour and accordingly the trip. the hotel/restaurant is located directly below the burgruine falkenstein and convinces with a magnificent view. the facility in the restaurant is original and chic, very cozy with fireplace and cantilever on the benches. the offered cakes (apfelstrudel with vanilleeis, apfelstreusel, rhabarberstreusel) were very tasty and the service sympathetic and accommodating. we are very happy to come back to try the hearty spears."
