Came In with some friends and was first met by Glenn, who was very professional and polite and helped us with some recommendations on food, Thank you will definitely be back again

Went for lunch and was served by a very pleasant man named Jay who was always smiling and gave a 1st class service. Very helpful and chatty, I have been in the Royal a few times and always enjoy Jay's company. One of the best staff members in there

This restaurant is awful. We waited over an hour for our breakfast instead of the promised 15 minutes. The staff is rude and unfriendly. When the breakfast finally arrived, we discovered that the bread and sausages were missing. The waitress brought the bread 5 minutes later, but we never received the sausages. Ver carta

My husband and I went to this restaurant for lunch today while shopping and running errands in Scunthorpe. I am baffled as to why this place is not packed, as the staff is fantastic and the manager, Zane, goes above and beyond to assist. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, making it some of the best pub food I have ever had in Scunthorpe. Highly recommend!

The food and drinks are very affordable. The menu offers exciting twists on American cuisine. While not gourmet, the dishes are hearty, enjoyable, and delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially with our large party that included children. We also stayed at the hotel upstairs, which was also reasonably priced. The accommodations are basic but met all of our needs.

It's a chain pub yes! However for a member of staff to complain saying it will take him about 30mins to make 20 Jagerbombs as an order is shocking. If you can't handle working in the hospitality industry then don't! Not only that the attitude of staff members to customers is quite poor and treat the customer with no respect or dignity! Please teach your staff in some lessons of how the customer is right... Ver carta

My me my partner and children visited the royal for our tea and were amazed at not only the quality of food, but also the service. We walked in to be greeted by Zain and Jenny. We got served right away we ordered our meal and sat down and when our food arrived it looked amazing It was Delicious food, and super nice atmosphere. Plus it’s all at an affordable price. Can totally recommend it and will definitely come back again

A really old fashioned and quaint hotel with creaky floorboards with a really modern pub as you would expect with a chain style pub. Unfortunately the hotel part could do with a refurb. The wall paper is cracked with bits nearly hanging off the ceiling. The bed was worn and the mattress was shot which made for a rather uncomfortable night's sleep. Arrived downstairs in the morning for breakfast, which I'd paid for, only to find out that they had not checked if anyone was booked in for breakfast. As a result there was no chef in and no breakfast. They did apologise and issued a refund. I'll give this one a miss next time I'm in the area.

I had a hospital appointment at Scunthorpe around 1.20pm so we decided that rather than messing around we would have lunch out, not something we normally do on a Sunday. We decided that the closest location was the Royal so we decided to go there. We were there fie noon only to find the doors still locked, and just as we were ready to leave, the manager Zane came out, apologised profusely explained there had been a leak from one of the bathrooms that it had caused part of the ceiling to come down. He had clearly been busy cordoning off that area of the dining space and cleaning up.
