"This restaurant boasts a great location, convenient parking, and hearty portion sizes, making it a promising choice. However, vegetarians and chicken lovers may find their options somewhat limited. While the space can feel a bit tight for larger groups, the cozy atmosphere and adequate seating are definitely positives. The friendly staff enhances the dining experience, although there is still some room for improvement in service. "My steak was not very hot and my Fries were so cold that I had to send them back. My biggest complaint though was the chocolate sundae. This was the worst ice cream sundae I've ever had: two layers of bog standards vanilla with a layer of rock hard, bone dry crumbs of stale and bland brownies in between. They managed a squirt of whipped cream on the top but that was it. No chocolate sauce or nuts; they couldn't even manage a wafer and to top it all they gave me a large spoon, not easy to get to the bottom of the glass with. I requested a proper sundae spoon but the waitress said that they didn't have any. What business do have serving ice cream sundaes if they don't even have sundae spoons? As for an American style restaurant, they have a poor selection of American whiskeys."

"this is a difficult check, as it is a beautiful place. much improved from previous incarnations, but there are niggers. it is essentially a meat-fish-dining paradise and eating is excellent in this sight. they also have vegetarian possibilities to care for those who are not carnivorous, but they are a reflection. if they offer for vegetarian / vegan and calculate the same prices for their meals, they should be fed in a portion size to the feeds delivered to carnivores. only a veggie option on a Sunday menu vegetarian bake the size of a small suppen bowl, which in the ground a veg stew with cheese blown up and two bratkartoffels on the side is not enough and is far overpriced. I almost cried to the quality of food that my friends got that I couldn't eat. there are six of us who regularly eat together and we have written the royal off, because they cannot care for one of us. that's a lot of money they lose through lazy and retro thinking. if they are pure a qualitatiw high quality meat/fish restaurant without concession to veggie / vegan fill their boots, but if they offer vegetarian food, but limited in scope, it must be better than this."

"For 25 years+ we've enjoyed dining in and take-away meals. The Maharajah in Purton has set the gold standard for superb food and excellent service. When we've dined elsewhere our measure has always been, is it as good as The Maharajah. And honestly, we've never tasted better than The Maharajah in Purton."

"We visited today our first family cafe/restaurant outing since before lockdown. I had heard about their attention to detail regarding cleanliness and the ability to book tables online to ensure a table was available on arrival. The booking system was simple and straightforward and we booked just 3hrs before we went. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. The menus were left on the table and we simply had to wave to get their attention when ready to order. We waited around 30 minutes for the food to arrive and it was definitely worth the wait, We had 2 freshly cooked breakfasts with thick fresh fluffy toast and 2 burgers with a generous side salad. The two portions of gourmet chips did not disappoint although the portion sizes of the food we ordered were so generous, we almost didn't have room for them! They were huge, crispy, fluffy in the middle hand cut chips which were absolutely delicious. Everything was washed down with large mugs of hot chocolates and coffee. We also couldn't resist buying 4 (huge) pieces of carrot cake to take home to enjoy later. Freshly cooked, tasty food, very reasonably priced with friendly and attentive service. The restaurant is well set out and nicely decorated. We would certainly recommend and we will definitely return. Olive Tree Cafe if you are reading this: Please don't change anything, today was perfect! Thank you for making our visit worry free and so enjoyable! We were very impressed."
