"As part of an early family meeting, my siblings wanted to meet us at the Schatzi 's in Backnang. The treasure is still known to me from my active Swabian period. At that time it was necessary to say that it was with us in the province of one of the first places that brought some American flair into the landle. Today, a little more than 20 years later, visually nothing has changed except that everything is about 20 years older. A slightly dark ambience with wooden tables and benches with red leather cover. The tables partly with, partly without tablecloths. Where tablecloths are, there's something more beautiful covered. First of all, one may think that the covered tables are for the guests who want to eat something, and the others for the numerous, exclusively cocktail-sluggling guests of the cinema in the same building. But far missed, we had reserved for 4 people for food, but only one of the kargen wooden tables were assigned, although several covered tables would have been free. 20 years ago, this was very Hipp and I liked it. My personal taste has evolved a little further, unfortunately not the establishment. Therefore, 3 stars for the ambience. Service: The treasure is quite large. I assume, in the case of full occupation, as was the case several times in the meantime, nearly 100 guests will find their place in the local area. For this number of guests, 3 services were responsible, which seemed to have been strictly divided into areas. Unfortunately, the young lady responsible for us obviously has not been active in this restaurant for a long time, nor in gastronomy in general, as I am new when paying in a supplement and knowing the prices or not mentioned. That was always felt. Thus, when ordering, it was not noted that the salad was desired as an appetizer, the bottle wine and the water bottle were simply placed on the table in passing. Tasting swallow at the wine? It wasn't planned. Beverages reorders were only possible if you sent her the way to win her to the table. Empty dishes, bottles and glasses were only conditioned and cleaned in several stages. If a reorder actually occurred, it always took an unpleasant long time until it came to the table. Similarly, the time from the announcement was to want figures until the actual payment process was terrifyingly long. Price discrepancies between card and cash system were apologised with the above mentioned sentence All this may also be due to the fact that the shop was simply full, but this should not be our problem but the luxury problem of the owner. Paddy, which was quite acceptable in taste, but unfortunately had little difference with the ambient temperature. In both variants there were Western Potatoes TK , a small chop Coleslaw and a small bowl of barbeque sauce. The potato corners were industry standard, well fried, but no more. The Coleslaw seemed to be freshly prepared, but in my opinion the preparation was essentially in the rasp of the white cabbage. Except for a little bit of salt, no further processing was to taste for me. At Chili Burger, the usual suspects of salad, tomato, cucumber, bacon and cheese, as well as a chili sauce, were also absorbed. The vegetables were all right except for taste-neutral tomatoes, as well as cheese. The beautiful crispy Bacon marked a highlight. The Chili sauce was very good and could even sharply convince technically. The Italian burger had a splashed vegetable supplement tomato, but there were still cheered Grano Padano and Rucola. Since I was able to taste this burger my wife had ordered at the end, that is to say after my chili orgie, he seemed to be a little slapping on me, which is probably not to be attributed to the burger himself. My wife tasted the combination quite well, but enthusiasm storms remained. The food was all OK, which means 3 stars. That's all, unfortunately. The Primitivo was quite delicious. Nice velvety, fruity with light blackberry note. Unfortunately, the 2nd bottle was then clearly too warm. Cleanliness: In the restaurant itself everything was quite neat and even the table was clean despite or perhaps just because of the missing tablecloth. The way to the toilets then leads over a longer staircase into the cellar and also here obviously everything has been unchanged for 20 years. There was then only little to be complained visually, apart from the need for renovation, the smell that has burned in here over the years, but lets me give off. 3.5 star price performance ratio: The drinks prices are, as far as I can judge, at an average local level. The prices for the food are also within the framework of what you have to pay for the appropriate burgers elsewhere. Unfortunately, the associated performance, i.e. the service and the quality of the food is not suitable. Three stars. Conclusion: I liked the evening. Just not because of the visit to the treasure, but anyway. We might have had bad luck with the operation. At least at tables with other controls, the beverage delivery seemed to work well. However, the food would have to be significantly better to return here again. The treasure will see it.
