"Wonderfully warm restaurant and café located above Castelrotto. Unpretentious, authentic and welcoming. Has a great oudoor terrace overlooking the whole valley. The food is typical of the area: Tyrolean as well as Italian specialties simply but nicely done, with very generous portions and great desserts....Do not miss the Tyrolean live music on Saturday or Friday evening (can’t remember which evening for sure). The location is just great, above town, amongst old Tyrolean farms and barns. I recommend taking a long walk on one of the many trails around it, amongst the beautiful pastures"

Came across it by chance on the hike because the Liftstüberl is now closed on weekends. We really liked it, the service and food were great. Definitely worth repeating.

pleasant restaurant and caffe above castelrotto under old tiroler farms, barns and beautiful grazing. unpredictable and welcoming. beautiful outdoor terrace with views of the whole valley. Tyrolean and Italian specialties simple, but beautiful made, with generous portions and beautiful desserts. some evenings.

we spent a rainy evening with a delicious food here. I had a homemade German dish that was similar to the ravioli filled with spinat in a butter sauce with cheese. my man had a mixed grill, wrapped with a speck tenderloin, perfectly cooked. I'm done with a whisper. the waitress was friendly and has done an excellent work.

we were asked to wait at the bar on our reserved table, but not offered drinks during the waiting. the employees were not very on the ball with regard to their needs. we waited some time to pick up our order, and then again. if we wanted more drinks. a coworker was especially unfriendly and also last year. Maybe it's their nature. the dumplings were delicious (a veg option of very few), like the apfelstrudel. the restaurant is cozy and comfortable and we had a beautiful evening overall, although I do not think we will return next year.
