"Until the 50s, the historic house was a popular inn in Bretten. After that, a department store should move in here, but this failed at the outrageous opposition of the Bretter inhabitants. For this it stood empty for decades, was in decay until a volunteer community of residents, including mayors decided to rebuild the beautiful house once, some years of busy work on the evening needed it until in 2002 it stood again in its full glory, in the middle of the pedestrian zone. From slow beginnings, it has become a very popular restaurant. Cosy, with slightly sloping walls, and work beams, it offers 10 tables space for guests. This is not very much, so it is usually full at noon, it is recommended to come after 1 p.m. It's not a problem, because there's a hot meal all the way. In most cases, on a table there are the daily meals, which offer from 7 to 14 euros an appetite. All meats, fish and vegetarians are offered on the menu. The prices between 14 and 20 euros, for this everything is cooked from regional products, much of them also in organic quality. My husband and I decided last time for one of the daily meals, namely homemade meat cubes with potato and endivia salad. Add sauce and in a pan peeled, fresh onions These were very plentiful, so a large part landed at the edge of the plate, the sauce was somewhat too sharp to me, but everything else tasted delicious and was very fine for 7 ,50 euros. Too much I would have tried the dessert, rabarber and strawberry compote on white chocolate mousse, but I was too tired. A very nice young woman served us, had a friendly word to all,and was fleee and competent. A recommended house, enjoyment for eye and palate, like 5 stars."

Wir waren das erste Mal überhaupt in Bretten. Bei diesem Lokal stimmen Ambiente und Service! Sehr schön ist, dass mit sehr guten Zutaten ohne zu viel Schnick Schnack eine schöne Bodenständige Küch zubereitet wird!

Draußen bestuhlt mit Sonnenschirm. Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell. Das essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Habe von meinem Nachbarn die frischen Pilze probiert. Selten so frische und gutschmeckende Pilze gegessen. Klasse und zu empfehlen.

1preis/leistung alles ok,service schnell+freundlich(wir waren ca 30 pers,exta nebenzimmer ,einladend die ganze gaststätte hat uns gefallen alle waren zufrieden,auch die wo normal immer was zum meckern haben,bitte weiter so ,wir werden euch auch besuchen+speisen wenn wir nur wenige sind+vorallem werden wir das haus weiterempfehlen danke nochmals+weiterso Ver carta

Nachdem ich bei meiner letzten Bewertung doch die Servicekräfte ziemlich gerügt habe, war bei diesem Besuch alles in Ordnung. Aufmerksamkeit beim Getränke aufnehmen; Essen schnell geliefert - gute Qualität der Schweinemedaillons; so gefällt es mir in diesem Lokal wieder deutlich besser. Beim nächsten dienstlichen Aufenthalt in Bretten also wieder in den Schweizer Hof.

Wie der Titel schon sagt, waren wir diesesmal an einem Mittwoch im Schweizer Hof. Schnitzel vom Schwein, Pute und Rind in verschiedenen Kreationen mit verschiedenen Beilagen; daher das Haus gegen 19:00 Uhr auch sehr gut besucht. Wir wurden aber trotzdem zügig bedient und wir beide waren mit unserer Schnitzelauswahl auch sehr zufrieden. Preislich vollkommen okay. Demnächst wieder, da mehrere Dienstreisen schon geplant sind.

Zunächst einmal muß ich sagen, daß ich schon sehr häufig im Schweizer Hof gegessen habe - diesesmal war der Besuch allerdings ein großer Reinfall. Angefangen hat das Ganze damit, daß die Bestellung der Getränke ewig gedauert hat, Nachbestellungen wurden von den Aushilfs-Servicekräften stetig ignoriert, sodaß ich schließlich selber an die Theke gegangen bin, um weitere Getränke abzuholen. Auch war ich an diesem Mittwoch von meiner Auswahl (Schnitzel mit Spargel, Sauce Hollondaise und Salzkartoffeln) eher enttäuscht. Der Spargel viel zu weich - im Saal saß allerdings auch eine große Gesellschaft älterer Damen, vielleicht wurde daher der Spargel etwas weicher gekocht; die "Dritten" lassen grüße... Ver carta

Wir waren Samastags gegen 16.45 Uhr dort. Es waren nur 2 Tische beleget und so konnten wir ohne Reservierung einen schönen Tisch am Fenster haben. Interinieur ist eher rustikal, im badischen sagt man zu so einem Lokal Wirtschaft. Es lief als Hintergrundmusik der Radio, was eigentlich gar nicht geht und der der auch später leiser gestellt wurde. Der Service war gut und die beiden jungen Leute sehr freundlich. Die Karte bietet für jeden Geldbeutel etwas. Wir hatten ein Mini Pils, 0.2 Liter und ein Jubiläumsbier, ein (es gab eine extra Bärlauckarte) Bärlauchrahmsüppchen, kleiner Beilagensalat, Bärlauchspaghetti und Bärlauchmaultaschen an Salat, eine Flasche Wasser und 2 Espresso (unter 50.-).
