We had a wonderful Sunday lunch with my family to celebrate my son's birthday. The food was served hot on a hot plate, unlike some places that use cold plates. They had a nice selection of ales. The pub quickly filled up, but the service was still great. The price per person was between £20-30. Overall, we give the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect score of 5.

We had the classic Fish and chips and Fish pie. The fish and chips was by far the worst we've had in England. The fish and chips were over-fried, we were expecting a lot, so the food probably had to be fried twice. It's quite a shame because the service was very nice and the place beautiful. 3 stars are for the service and overall atmosphere. Price per person: £20–30

Lunch with my 'sister ' Saturday 30/12 she travelled down from London and I travelled up from Sussex Seven Stars was a great half way meeting point with plenty of parking. Delicious and generous Hake Fries, very good lamb stew really good Christmas Pudding and an exceptional Chocolate Baked Alaska best dessert ever. Highly professional and attentive staff service was swift despite a busy session including another table of 16. Dining room and facilities were smart, comfortable and faultless we stayed on for more coffee after our meal such a nice place to relax and catch up.
