I had fish chips and mushy peas from the ships galley. My meal was delicious, and the chips were probably some of the best chip shop chips I have ever tasted. The fish and peas were also top quality. I can highly recommend the fish and chips from this shop. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner

Had Large Fish Chips (maybe should have had just regular) and Double Cheeseburger Chips plenty of food and all cooked well chips were just right and fish was freshly cooked in crispy batter. There are several fish and chip stands in this area, but we were specifically recommended this one. It offers good, traditional fish and chips right by the sea. I tried the whitebait and chips, which were excellent and tasted very fresh. There was a queue, which is always a good indication of quality, but my order was ready in about five minutes.

Best fish and chips in West Bay. Continued to go back the whole week we stayed. The chips always had a nice crunch and never soggy. My veggie burger was delicious too and i really liked the bread roll it came in. Absolutely amazing service and top quality food. Me and my husband came to West Bay for the first time and stopped of at (ships galley) . The food was Delicious, service was top notch . My husband had Fish and Chips and said it's the best fish he's had by far . I had a portion of chips with Irish Curry sauce. Definitely worth a visit again soon. Thank you. With so much competition in the area it’s hard to choose where to get food from. Luckily we came here and had some great chips and sausages with a side of curry sauce! The food was cooked just right and it only took them a few minutes to be ready. The curry was was extremely nice as well! Staff were friendly and worked through the big queue outside quickly. Without a doubt, this is the best spot for an amazing meal! The service is excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. During my week-long holiday in Westbay, I dined at the Ships Galley every night! It became so routine that the staff would know what I wanted as soon as I walked in. The Ships Galley is the top place in the southwest for jacket potatoes, and I ended up enjoying two at a time! I absolutely loved them! Meal type: Dinner.

I had the worst fish and chips I've ever encountered at this restaurant. They shouldn't be allowed to serve such dreadful food to the public—I'd hesitate to even feed it to a dog! The food was cooked in extremely dirty oil, which was the dominant taste. The fish batter was rock hard and so greasy that it was practically dripping. The chips were equally disappointing, also cooked in that same dirty oil, and the fish seemed at least a week old! Given the seaside location, I expected fresh and flavorful food, not this unpleasant experience. I ended up throwing it away and going to a different place. I’m only giving it one star because I have to in order to submit this review. Ver carta
