"It’s a lovely place to meet for food, cozily done. Food is nice and tasty, while staff are friendly and attentive. We had a table for six and everyone enjoyed. There were veggie vegan choices, and the specials board had some good looking food. The pub is dog friendly (but not in all spaces so check before booking). Lots of car spaces, an outside sitting area. There’s even a kids area outside, and I suspect there are nearby paths to walk off a good meal. Certainly worth a positive review, we are on a Tuesday and the pub was busy which is good to see."

"Foods gone down hill 3 of us ordered steak all burnt. Very disappointing when I told the staff they told me it was char grilled. Never have I had a steak like that there they have always been fine and not burnt or char grilled. Waiter then cleared the table and didn’t offer us any desserts or any more drinks. It’s like they wanted up gone as we spoke up about the food being burnt. Then I see the chef come out if the kitchen with a pint no wonder the food was brunt he was half cut cooking it. Avoid."

"Last night I attended a quiz at The Pontardawe Inn, which was also a fund raising event for the Gellionnen Chapel festive hamper appeal. We started by enjoying a delicious meal of fish and chips. The pub was packed as the regular quizes are very popular. The atmosphere was great. The staff and customers were friendly and fun. A great night was had by all. We are also privileged to live within walking distance of this wonderful, community pub"

"I called here last night with 2 friends, we hadn’t tried this restaurant before and after reading the reviews we thought we ought to. Restaurant is a little tired, we ordered chutney tray and pompadoms, the pomadoms were stale, 100% not made that day. The starter was ok passable from all, the main dishes came out in stages not at the same time and was Luke warm, the main meals were very very greasey far too much oil, we sat there along with another table after our meal with table full of plates no attempt to remove, the young man and young lady who were front of house sat by the bar on their phones, the service was awefull unless we were there at a bad time. We eat at indian restaurants regularly and this is far from the best, especially as the reviews say totally the opposite we scored it fair between the 3 of us and it gets an overall rating of 6. We won’t be visiting again."

"I wish I could give them more stars. We started with popadoms and dips, followed by aloo chat for me and a mixed kebab platter for my husband. We also shared a side order of chicken pakoras. Unfortunately, my husband's dish was not correct when it arrived. However, the staff member who came to our table was amazing. He checked the order and menu and quickly rectified the mistake. Within 5 minutes, my husband had the correct dish and a new plate of rice. They even provided us with the correct dish and a new plate of rice free of charge. Whenever we are in the area, we always make sure to visit this restaurant as we consistently receive excellent service and delicious food."
