"Polystyrene packaging ruined a delivery of fish chips, mushy peas. Made the meal sweat resulting in soft batter mushy chips. We were the 2nd or 3rd delivery from Just eat so probably didn’t help. HOWEVER, we have ordered from here before delivery collection, cardboard packaging no issues. Unfortunately based on this last order we probably won’t order again. Other meals were ok, only ok though.. but don’t want soggy fish chips. Will order from our default now (Hills) which is a shame as you were the go toditch the polystyrene SWEATY packaging please we will be back amongst other reviewers who have commented about the same issue. Don’t mind paying a bit more if it’s a packaging price point as it was a quality product when packaged in cardboard. Such a shame. If you want soggy fish chips delivered to your house then order here. If you want crispy battered fish go elsewhere."

I work near this restaurant and stopped by for a quick bite. I just got some fries and gravy which were very tasty. The homemade pies looked tempting but I wasn't too hungry. I plan to try them next time.

Excellent fish, chips,mushy peas and buttered muffin. Delivered on a monday night in lousy weather and they were hot and the batter was crispy. Sime reviews have said their meal was served in polystyrene, NOT IN THIS CASE SERVED IN PAPER LINED CARDBOARD CARTON IN A PAPER BAG only plastic was in the container for the mushy peas. This meal was delicious highly recommend Service: Delivery

"Have used this restaurant for over 30 years and always found food and service to be excellent. However, on my recent visit my lamb, Rogan Josh contained vegetables and a very small amount of meat. Happy for prices to go up, but do not expect the quality to go down. Extremely sad if this is the way forward. Vegetarian options: My daughter is vegetarian, and never struggles to find something good to eat here. Wide range of cauliflower and potato, curries, as well as vegetarian options of all the popular favourites."

"Our second visit was even better than our first and that was great! My wife and I visited the Puckersley with friends who live close by. It was our second visit and we remembered that the food was good. A new menu had been introduced just that evening (Friday the 13th) and I noticed a selection of “Rice Bowls” from which I chose the King Prawn option. I can’t fully remember the menu description but it was something like “Salt and Pepper Spicy King Prawns Rice Bowl” MY GOODNESS! I have eaten in some fancy places and never have I been more surprised and delighted by a dish than I was that night. It was served beautifully, the prawns were lightly battered like Tempura prawns they were on a bed of egg fried rice surrounded by a lovely sauce containing goodness knows how many different chilli peppers and beautifully diced vegetables. It was even more enhanced by some greenery (sorry, i forgot what it was) which reminded me of a lightly fried rocket which just melted in your mouth. The dish is a TRIUMPH and must not be missed. I look forward to trying the other versions of this dish on our next visit and we will certainly visit again. Our friends ordered steaks which arrived cooked exactly as they requested which is unusual in itself but not, our friends say, at the Puckersley! My wife could only look enviously at my bowl but fortunately reported that her Scampi was excellent too. The waiting staff (All girls as it happened) were very happy, smiling and extremely efficient too. DO NOT MISS THIS PUB, IT IS A GEM."

"I have never been disappointed with this restaurant. The service is excellent with plenty of hard-working staff, even during busy times. The curries are consistently excellent, and I have visited many times. I highly recommend this place. The parking lot is not very large, but it is sufficient. Many families dine here, and the staff are great with kids. Overall, the atmosphere is great. The recommended dishes include Tandoori King Prawn, Pistachio Kulfi, Tandoori Chicken, Tandoori Lamb Chops, Lamb Tikka Balti, Prawn Puri, Chicken Tikka Shaslick Karahi, Absolutely Gorgeous, Tandoori Platter, and Jalfrezi. For vegetarians, there are some options available on the menu. Parking is free. Service, food quality, and atmosphere all receive top ratings. The average price per person is £30-40 for dinner."

"visited the dog today with the family for a birthday meal. we do not eat as a family very often as it can be hard work with a baby and a small child, but we all had a great time. the staff is very friendly and helpful. nothing was a problem at all, even if my little boy decided to throw his chicken on the floor (again, so I'm sorry.) a real relaxed, friendly atmosphere. and eating was beautiful. amazing carvery with so much to choose from and very large portion sizes! excellent value for money. the youngest 2 had a chicken nugget menu that was delicious again. large pieces delicate chicken breast. I couldn't resist trying a few myself, and it was by far the nicest child meal I've ever had everywhere! we all had a ball and will definitely come back soon!"

"We visited on Sunday 18/9/22 and it was very very busy. We managed to find somewhere to sit and despite how busy it was, we where served very quickly. We got the Roast beef dinner with extra cauliflower cheese as a side. The food was faultless and it was clean plates all around. The staff came to check we where happy with our food and are always friendly. Just waiting for our desserts now. Highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again soon."
