"My friend and I met in Sip today for a quick coffee but ended up having lunch. Well, Surprise , surprise lunch was gorgeous! We weren 't aware Sip did lunches until today. My friend had a delicious ham quiche with a Mediterranean salad, I had the broccoli quiche with the Med salad. Both of the quiches were obviously fresh and homebaked, cook had obviously not stinted on the broccoli in mine. The salads were bursting with flavours from homemade apple and beetroot chutney to fresh chickpea and avocado mix . All washed down with freshly brewed coffee band served by pleasant staff Caroline and Claire. We will return. Well done Sip!"

We are regularly driving the Dublin Donegal road and always bemoan the lack of a good lunch spot......until today. Warm welcome and great food with the shortest of detours. We will be back!

I had a delicious chilli con carne for lunch, it was the best I've ever had. I also enjoyed a hot and divine coffee made from freshly ground beans. Ronan was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this coffee shop. Ver carta

What a lovely little place to grab a coffee while I was up on a business meeting. Fresh pastries lovely food, staff and atmosphere. Coffee is top class. We ended up nearly staying for lunch after having breakfast. Keep up the good work.

We decided to make a quick stop off the main road and stumbled upon a hidden gem. Despite rarely leaving reviews, we had to make an exception for this place because the food and coffee were absolutely fantastic. It was definitely worth the detour.

This is a hidden gem offering a reasonably priced innovative menu and friendly staff. It’s creatively decorated with branded wooden coffee/tea cup platters. We stopped for a quick snack lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the individual ham and cheese quiche and coffee. Thanks David Eileen Ver carta

During our long journey, we decided to take a break in Newtownstewart and we are so glad we did. We had a delicious late breakfast at Sip Coffee Shop, located inside Hood and Co., a lovely home interior shop. We savored poached eggs, bacon, avocado, chilli oil on sourdough, as well as some delightful coffees. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit.

"Stayed here for one night for work. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and overall, the staff are all polite, friendly and helpful. The rooms however are underwhelming and a bit shabby. I stayed in room 102, which is right next to the door to access the corridor for the rooms, and was pretty noisy with other guests wandering up and down. You're also directly beside reception, so when people are stood outside smoking and chatting, that is all you can hear. Would be nice if reception could monitor the noise after 10pm and ask smokers to keep the noise down, as I was disturbed more than once. I was also unable to turn the radiator off, turning the valve made no difference. The mirror in the room was dirty and the bathroom was shabby, with drips of paint everywhere and an unfinished edge to the counter where the sink is. The towels were also stained. The food was ok. I had the steak fajitas, with boiled potatoes. The steak came in a sauce that I didnt enjoy. I ordered room service and the plates were delivered with only a spoon and no napkins. I'm not sure how they thought I was going to eat the potatoes, so had to go and ask for a knife and fork. I had had a long day the previous day, been up since 4.30am for a flight and then a full day of work, so had decided to sleep a bit longer, only to be disturbed at 8am by some scraping and banging noises outside of my room window, opened the window to find a man scraping the paint off of the next door window sill outside. When I asked if it was necessary to do that at 8am, he advised it needed to be painted today. I said, I have paid to stay here and am still in bed! He apologised and moved but why would a hotel allow maintenance to start at 8am?! Overall, not worth the £109 paid and would not stay here again."

"Now, let’s talk about Friska, located in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, among tall office buildings right on Broad Street. This spot only opens on weekdays for breakfast and lunch, catering mostly to the office crowd, but don’t let that deter you from visiting. Friska is a self-service restaurant with a spacious layout that includes community seating, individual tables, and standing areas. The staff is young, lively, and genuinely interested in providing great service. They serve fresh coffee, tea, and naturally flavored drinks daily, which means everything is truly fresh! At first glance, you might think it’s a bit pricey, but the portion sizes are generous; my burrito kept me full all day. Aesthetically, Friska radiates positive energy, creating a casual, welcoming atmosphere that I rarely encounter elsewhere. Now, let’s get to what really stands out: the drinks in the refrigerator. Beautiful, rounded bottles filled with vibrant liquids made from delightful ingredients like red berry, mango, melon, and various earthy tea and coffee blends—coconut iced mocha, anyone?—make choosing just one drink a daunting task. The fact that a single bottle serves three tall glasses (with ice) either means you’ll be making multiple trips to the restroom or you’ll have to stick to the one flavor that beckons you the most. Even as I write about the red berry and hibiscus iced tea I had, I can still almost taste its freshness. The strong aroma of hibiscus lingers in my memory, and the flavor has stuck with me long after I finished the drink. Now for the kicker: while the drink was fantastic, it was the Korean pulled pork burrito, recommended by the staff, that truly sent my taste buds into overdrive. This burrito was packed with so much flavor that each bite felt like a mini explosion in my mouth. Sweet, sour, tangy, chewy, spicy, salty, crispy, and soft—every aspect was so amazing that I hardly noticed my surroundings. In fact, Meg Ryan from "When Harry Met Sally" might have had some fierce competition in her iconic food scene! The only downside to this delightful experience is that Friska is located in another city, meaning I won't get a chance to try some of their other mouthwatering options, like the chicken and chorizo wrap, pho noodles, crayfish and mango rice pot, or their tempting breakfast menu. For now, I’ll have to savor the memory of the best burrito and iced teas I’ve ever had. Do you love food as much as I do? Follow my culinary adventures on Instagram @raghavmodi!"
