Really good food the best Sunday roast ever. The Sea Bass was equally good. Quite small place but the attention detail made it feel like it was just you in room. This restaurant is fantastic, the steak was very well cooked and the chips were lovely, I absolutely love the atmosphere here, came here with my girlfriend and will be back again next time we're in Cornwall. We had a meal for two on a Sunday evening. Both of us had the burger. The chips were overcooked and the side order of vegetables we ordered were an embarrassment. Food was truly exceptional. Quiet venue, perfect if you want to chill and have a conversation in between courses. Staff were attentive but not on your case . There is a large selection of GF dishes too. And the history of the place is fascinating. Well worth a visit if you 're in the area. Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free dishes are clearly marked. Food was not as expected My wife’s Sticky chicken was dry and tough (obviously reheated) so when she pointed this out politely and without making a fuss was promptly offered an alternative which she declined because that’s what she ordered and it should have been worth eating in the first place ! I must point out that the the lady serving was very nice and apologetic however was less impressed with the response from the person who gave us the bill who when I questioned about paying full price for that meal was promptly reminded that my wife refused a replacement and should have requested a price reduction before she printed off the bill and in full earshot of other diners which we didn’t app...
