Initially planning a takeaway but decided against the washing up so dropped into the restaurant here and was glad we did The fairy-lit dining area is very cosy, the food is very good the staff are great. Would recommend

Had dinner here whilst visiting the Hebrides. The food was very good, although the portions were not huge. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and attentive without being over the top. Not cheap, but reasonable value.

I’m afraid this was one of the worst meals we’ve had in a long time and probably the worst tapas we’ve ever had. The staff were lovely and the restaurant vibe is nice. But the food was pretty much inedible. We would not recommend it to anyone. Ver carta

Booked in last minute after deciding we needed a night off camping food and we were not disappointed. I had the beef shin which was delicious, as was my partners pork bell and friends catch of the day. We all opted for the sticky toffee pudding which was AMAZING! Aaron our lovely waiter was friendly and efficient.

Recently visited for dinner during a week in Stornoway. Really glad we did as food was lovely. I had the beef which was so tender. Had starters and deserts and a bottle of wine. All very enjoyable. Staying in the town so taxi up and back to holiday accommodation. The staff were lovely, and so pleasant so glad we went and will do so again when next in Sy.

What a great place! The service was impeccable and the food was great. We were very pleasantly surprised as we booked last minute and there was plenty of availability always a worry! We shouldn’t have worried as it exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was nice too. Highly recommended and I will return next time I am on this beautiful island! Ver carta

We came for a long lazy lunch before the 1500 ferry. Both a very generous portioned children’s menu and small plates/starters and mains for the adults. All meals were lovely. Fresh local scallops, 2 pieces of haddock with the adult fish and chips for £17. For a family of 5 we ate incredibly well and also thought it good value. A sirloin steak was perfectly cooked and the children enjoyed Mac n’cheese and sausages. If you come here you won’t be disappointed.

I have been to this restaurant before on visits to the Island and the food has always been good. On this occasion at lunchtime it was excellent. It was the best fish and chips I have ever tasted, Batter was light, fish tasty and the chips crispy and melted in your mouth. The mint ice cream I had for dessert had a distinctive true mint flavour unlike shop bought ice cream. The coffee was a good blend and came with a lovely butter shortbread. The surroundings were pleasant and service was good. We tried to return later in the week in the evening but they were fully booked and I can see why.

What can I say.... the best food and service in Stornoway. The chefs' here know their trade! The pork belly, polenta chips, featherblade beef, curry, honey roasted veg and onion rings were all cooked to perfection and presented very stylish! Good portion sizes too and all reasonably priced. If you want to make any improvement try pickling your onions for your onion rings they make them 100% more tastier. Sticky toffee pudding and burnt honey cheesecake were very tasty and beautifully presented. I particularly liked the chef being creative with his puff pastry liquid on the base of the cheesecake this was unique and quirky. Service was great and the restaurant is warm, cosy and stylish!
