a group of us called here late at a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. it is a lively pub with a good atmosphere and we found it a friendly place. there is not especially something from the ordinary about it, but it...has a good interieur and the staff is really friendly. the drinks are good and they have a wide range of them. Excellent food and service. There isn't a huge amount of choice but enough for us and it was freshly prepared and really lovely. They took good care of us and ensured that we had everything we wanted. The beer was excellent too and very well kept. visited this pub for a pint after a local walk, as it has a call for fine ale. the ale has not disappointed with a fine choice of largely local brews. beer was well served and welcome friendly. while we were tempted by the menu, although relatiw was short and quite fundamentally agreed the three of us, the eating we had was hot and tasty. all dishes on the menu including our curry and sampi become less than a five that represents enormous value.

There was a charity pub crawl on the day we visited. Lots of the people were leaving when we arrived. The lady who served me was using plastic instead of glasses, I asked her for glasses as we were sitting inside.she refused, despite locals sat at the end of the bar had been served their drinks in glasses. Completely Out of order. We did stay for another drink but my son went to the bar this time, and again she wasn't going to serve our drinks in glasses but my son insisted. We got our glasses.
