Not exactly much other choices within walkable distance of this place that serve German food.

Menu had lots of choice, food was nice but nothing special, little expensive compared to other restaurants nearby

Arriving quite late in to a cold and rainy Friedrichshafen I was glad my friend took me straight to this cozy bierkeller for a late dinner. It has a wooden paneled basement bar with booth-style tables as well as a more traditional restaurant room upstairs....The food was good, wholesome, traditional local fare we both enjoyed our main dishes which were both variants on a local macaroni-style dish. of us arrived one weekday evening. We were immediately welcomed but were shown the only small table left as the place was full. Once we had ordered drinks the waitress spoke to some other guests and came back and invited us to sit at...the end of their larger table that they were about to vacate. The food was local fare and very good. Lots of pork choices. Throughout, the staff were friendly and attentive, helping us out with translations and recommendations. We'd go back again

We were late and our preferred locations about to close so we came to the Keller. Long list of dishes with all sorts of food wrapped in plastic foil. Fast and friendly service getting along with masses of visitors. The Keller being a bit further...down the road at least was not as packed as other touristic restaurants. Food was ok. Very good prepared filet even though I ordered medium and it was almost bleu. Argentine quality did compensate the lack in prep. Portion for regular restaurant relatively small. We had a starter so it was enough but without maybe sufficient for retired or guests on diet

We go to this restaurant every year whilst in town on business. Great location, food and drink. Never any problems with the service. Last night we visited and were unluckily got a really terrible waitress who gave us the worst service I have ever encountered,...with no explanation or apology. I'm not sure if she mistook us for someone else? It was utterly bizarre. She virtually spat on us when we sat down and threw each dish down on the table. She forgot the wine I ordered with dessert. After dessert was finished I asked again. The table was cleared and we were ready to leave when the wine turned up minutes late.
