We always visit The Spyglass when on the Island and it never fails to impress. Great food, Great views and the staff are brilliant too. Love the fish pie.

We just stopped here for a quick one before lunch and it couldn't have been more perfect. Fantastic location right on the beach and excellent selection of drinks. Ver carta

as a family of vegetarian with the dog in the center of the family, it can often be a challenge to find a welcoming restaurant for all of us. Therefore it was so refreshing to get such a warm welcome in the spyglass inn.

we had night in ventor for an east break, fell on this place at the first after a late stay on the beach and went back every night. no need to book, very friendly and accommodating. good pub grub- many fish and all reasonable...price

visited the spy glass inn during the holiday. we just walked in and could sit down right now. we ordered our food and served by very friendly staff. the food arrived quite fast and was extremely tasty. no complaints from us. visit...again Ver carta

The crab sandwich was not very pleasant, the bread was not a nice soft loaf, and most of it was on the table as the waiter practically threw it on the table and just said ‘ ha sorry mate’ now that’s awful service, the chips...were stodgy, the calamari did not taste fresh at all , every tasted very frozen and virtually inedible, we left to go and enjoy some good food elsewhere, beautiful place but the food was not that great.

Food was awful. Luke warm food on cold plates so quickly went cold. They posted a photo of their mussels on Facebook two days ago so I ordered them and they were nothing alike. The mussels were cut in half so I couldn’t eat them...properly and served in a curry dish. I’m not sure where they got their Facebook photo from but it’s not the food they were serving today unfortunately. Hopefully they improve the food as the location is amazing and the drinks good too. You can order carafes of wine which make a nice change.

Couldn't have asked for more on our first visit to Ventnor! Full of maritime and seaside memorabilia, this is a great pub overlooking the sea. A great choice of food and drink and service that compliments the overall experience. The till said we were being...served by Uncle Mark,and he made us feel as welcome as your favourite Uncle. Some great ale on offer and a choice of wine,so we found something quite easily. The food was fabulous and so worth the money,lots on the plate and full of flavour. Garlic bread to start followed by scampi chips and crab on chips. Just delicious and well worth the journey here. Great pub Ver carta
