the city café is specialized in German cuisine (carvings are well represented, but other German dishes are also on the menu). eating is very good, efficient served and the prices are quite reasonable.

we were here in the evening (18 o'clock) with our two children and were very, very nice and friendly received and served. we all had burgers and they were all very tasty. the price-performance ratio is also true. we're coming back!

was with friends in the city cafe and we were thrilled. the carvings are the hammer! different types of beer from the barrel, as well as the blue hour(as like ne happy hour) we used to try out the different gin sorts rounded the evening completely. we look forward to the next visit. Ver carta

we had reserved for a small birthday party on the afternoon and were surprised with an extra nicely decorated table and "happy birthday" lettering.The cake was very tasty and the service attentive and friendly.Small special requests were met without problems so that we felt comfortable all around. the prices were reasonable.

it does not change.It is always good to very good.The service is unfortunately still catastrophic. friendly without doubt, but what helps if you are separated as a couple, because the order has gone along and you are served to the one that eats already so that it is not cold .because who is about eating and drinking, surely never makes anything wrong here!

we were with friends to brunch here, the reserved table was well chosen, the buffet was well mixed by the offered foods and sometimes something else, than the other food on which you often meet.There were for example three different sorts of rührei, ready prepared black bread discs with salmon, various meat and nutritious dishes and salads. a glass prosecco or O juice, plus beverages is ok, we are happy to come back.

in hamburg too breakfast is a everyday pleasure at the weekend. the breakfast buffet is a bit more difficult to find. when we found that the city cafe served a breakfast buffet on Saturdays (10:00 - 13:00) we decided to go there immediately. the offer is great and everything we had was freshly prepared and delicious. they have their usual broth and buns, sliced and bee. they also get juicy beef, gravad lax on roggenbrot with senfsauce. eier, speck, sausages etc. are also available. simply order their hot drinks and strengthen them on the buffet. in the 9.90€ buffet is also a glass champagne or oj included. reserve their table in advance, as the place will be fully occupied. when I visited our office in hamburg, my colleagues decided to introduce me to the city café, which is just around the corner. it was quite full and had a light business atmosphere. we ordered from the midday card that had a handful of options. there is a much bigger menu if you want other things like the award-winning carving, but the lunch card has been good for us and is cheap. there are not too many sandwich shops (not like in london, where there is one on every corner) and my colleagues told me that they usually eat out at lunchtime. they often come to the city cafe and have a customer card.
