Great local within walking distance. Good all round venue; nice decor, good menu selection, attentive staff and food served on hot plates.

We had a wonderful evening at the sun pub thanks to our wonderful waitress Sandy. She was attentive and accommodating to my allergies and we were not made to feel rushed to order and encouraged to take our time ordering despite it being a bank...

This was a flying visit for Sunday lunch while passing through the town and we were well impressed. Really good choices across the menu, happy smiley service, prompt delivery of food and drinks. The chicken menu is a speciality but other meats are available, the gammon meal was excellent. Didn't have time to linger but will visit again.

We popped into The Sun on Bank Holiday Saturday lunchtime, 5 adults, 1 child and a baby. No booking. There were 2 functions. We were seated promptly, served impeccably, the food and drinks were excellent. The manager was alert, on top of everything and the server of our table was efficient and extremely polite.
