"In mid July (15th) four of us visiting from the US had four superb dinners at Tabbs! Unfamiliar with hake, I dared to order and am so glad I did because of the excellent preparation. I will probably not order it elsewhere for fear of dimming the wonderful memory of your chef's magic. From beginning to end our meals were perfection, beautifully served, professionally presented and delicious on the tongue. What a treasure we found by blind luck! We wish we lived in Turo so we could be regular patrons; your locals are most fortunate. Thank you so much for a delightful experience!"

We always book a table at Tabbs (if we can, because it's so popular) when visiting Truro, Cornwall. There's always something for your individual taste buds, plus a varied wine list. If you're a couple wanting to treat yourselves and have an extra special, another level, meal experience. I can't recommend Nigel Debbie Tabbs enough!

The food was good but not 'special night out ' good. Looking at some of the previous reviews, the menu we had didn 't seem as exciting as others. The duck terrine was very nicely presented but not much taste of duck. The fish (hake and ray) was excellent but rather overwhelmed by the smoked paprika oil on the potatoes. As an aside, the background music was tormented rather than comforting, but they did kindly turn it down.
