"The first issue was with the ' A ' board on the pavement advertising bacon roll and hot drink for £2, only when I ordered it was £3. On closer inspection the shoddy sticker over the £2 had gone translucent with all the rain so from a distance you can see the £2. Lots of staff fumbling about falling over each other. Took an age to get some milk for my tea because a large group of people doing a raffle on market day had taken the jug outside fof their order of 8 coffees, whilst eavesdropping the server wasn 't even sure about their request whether americano was black coffee. They seem to take orders on a number basis shouting out numbers when your order is ready, as I wasn 't given a number I didnt even know my order was ready. The bacon had been cooked to within a inch of its life and pretty tasteless, A really bad experience to which I wont be returning My true review is 0 5 My advice is go to Gregg 's, it 's only 30 feet away"

Never fails to disappoint, always had a good baguette or wrap, filling is always warm and always tastes fresh. it's refreshing to have a takeaway sandwich shop that doesn't skimp on the fillings.

This place does the most amazing brownies I have ever tasted (and I've had a lot!! I travel from Kendal just to come and get them. Haven't tried any of the other food but it always looks good and the staff are lovely.

We love the brownies, they are deliciously gooey! The sweet chilli chicken wraps and hot spicy wraps are great too. Packed full with a generous amount of chicken and plenty of sauce. Brilliant freshly made and filling lunch.

We had a great time at the food festival. The only downside was the absence of recycling bins and the use of plastic tasting cups for the alcohol. Come on Cumbria council, you should be setting an example at these events by promoting the use of sustainable products and encouraging vendors to do the same.

Called in to get a sandwich but three staff members were too busy gossiping in kitchen to serve me. Then one of them did see me and still ignored me. When I was leaving I said can I give you a tip, serve your customers instead of talking in kitchen. As I left she was having a laugh about my comment with her colleague. So I won't be going back.

I always make a point to stop by this restaurant whenever I visit Ulverston. They offer great value breakfast buns and hot drink deals. For dinner, I highly recommend the pasta dishes as they are unbeatable. The seating inside is cozy and perfect for a small group. The staff is friendly as well. A visit to this restaurant is a must when in Ulverston.

Got my order wrong. Went back, and she tipped the ingredients into a wrap off the baguette. It didn't even have all the right ingredients. Went back a third time and asked for a refund. Given incorrect change so had to go back. The quality was absolutely horrendous of what I did get. It's **** like this that send people away from local businesses. Wasted twenty minutes faffing about. Thanks.

When I entered the restaurant, it was empty, but I had to wait a long time for my food to be cooked. I noticed that the prices were different from what was advertised on their website, and when I brought it up, I was told that their website was incorrect and I had to pay the higher price. The small bun I ordered for £2.50 came with cheap, unpleasant butter and two small, thin rashers of bacon that were not worth it. I have decided to make my own instead, as it will taste better and be more affordable. The pictures of the food on their website looked nothing like what I received, which felt like false advertising.

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
