"Secret tip in Barmstedt! Family, with fair prices, the friendly service and the best Greek food outside Hamburg. Today, for the second time in Thassos, we were a family-run Greek with a beautiful ambience. The village is hidden in a side street of the Barmstedt centre, surrounded by old semi-concrete houses and a small church. The friendly staff welcomes you directly at the entrance and the first Ouzo is on the table in under 20 seconds. During our first visit we had the lamb souvlaki, butterzart and in 15 minutes on the table. As appetizers the probably roasted Peperoni, served with fresh garlic and good olive oil. But now for our last visit. On request we ordered a mixed starter plate first photo, as we do not like fish, individually mounted at a super price! As the main dish followed the lamb fillet of fresh rosemary in red wine sauce and a baked gyro pan. The lamb convinces with its velvety natural taste, rounded by the mild acidity of the dead red wine, with a hint of thyme and garlic. The red wine from Greece Photo 4 . The Gyropfanne, mostly baked with edamer, this time on request with Gouda and good sharpness. Gyros is very delicate and well seasoned, in a delicious cream sauce with mushrooms and onions. "General Wow great, what the team around Fritz Lay (ehem. Hotel Abtei Hamburg has kicked out here: A classic dense but modern ambience was created from the building of an old wax factory with lots of effort, attention, beautiful decoration and accessories as well as heart blood, antiques and collection pieces. Many in English style absolutely high quality and the noble restaurant very noble, harmonious and cozy. The pleasant scent of an open fireplace envelops a like pleasant music, the view of the open kitchen, which can be seen behind a glass pane with 3 dedicated employees in an absolutely clean environment and a very binding personal care also by the operator pair. Also in the slightly more open bistro area clear photo art, a view under the roof and a truly perfect atmosphere including all adjoining rooms and the ingeniously decorated floor for celebrations. Loft is very good! Lay is a famous life artist who recognized his dream here. It aims at a towel audience for the restaurant (men of 45, € , but in the bistro offers attractive main dishes from the same kitchen already by 15, €. Due to the high-quality ingredients and the craftsmanship of its chefs, appetizers, desserts and beverages are really coming together. All in all, fine, noble and stunning, but not cheap and equipment only from the finest. We found in the relatively well visited, not so stiff bistro besides few slightly elevated guests very pleasant, quiet audience. Offer: Creative, fresh kitchen, some snacks, a touch of rustic and sounding complementary main dishes from a daily table. Reservation is recommended. Lay 's Loft is a jewel with really good cuisine and exceptional architecture. The ambitious competitors of this segment in the regional environment have received a nice addition, but do not have to fear your guests because here a new niche was opened and you also need to like the pomp... service friendly reception; the restaurant manager took the wardrobe and was supported by a very nice colleague and the operator pair. Support for the evening dense, qualified and binding, including chat and baggage from/with the ambitious boss. The staff is by no means high quality and really classic friendly. The food begins with a Kir Royal (12, € and bread basket with baguette and a fresh crispy tuna tip from the house very well. On the extensive wine map the very good, fruity splashes and with 42, € normal price Sancerre was one of the cheaper offers. A curry soup and parmesan soup of 8, € were classic peach, very tasty, but also a bit mild and could have been a bit more sustainable by adding some spicy ingredients (4*). A really great skater under a mustard crust (17,50€) on a delicious freshly prepared tasty potato cucumber salad, but who took the heat relatively quickly to the fish; here I would have dispensed with the assembly (4 5*). A pink, super sweet and ingeniously tuned, plentiful kalbspant á la Vitello Tonnato (16, €) originates from the composition, wort and the creamy fine-saure paving sauce on the top and 1A wonderfully harmonized with the salads. This is star height and thus 5*. A freshly made, cold rhubarb with ice and hibiscus foam (8, € stunning and a slightly clear lemon with parfait and raspberries (9, € almost excellent (4 5*). Conclusion: Very good, high-ambient cuisine almost on the demand of star gastronomy. Certainly not for the daily; but we will certainly visit the very fine restaurant with red fabric wallpapers to see if there is something else... The ambience The stay is a (special experience; Well-being guaranteed. Here there is so much to discover and marvel that the high-quality table equipment (in the bistro without fabric napkins and decoration becomes a side thing. They arrive immediately, inhale the atmosphere and stay here longer. Cleanliness all well maintained."

"we were already drinking coffee and eating cake several times in the lock prison. the cakes and torts are very tasty and fresh, in a glass cavitrine you can preview and choose the cake beforehand. the staff is usually friendly and quite fast, even if many guests are there. However, the prices of my opinion have risen and partly quite happy: a normal milk café (without aroma, in a hot cup) costs 3,00 euro. a piece of simple apple cake (from the spring form, with rusty and stirruped) also 3.00 euro per piece. when we were asked if we wanted to see and affirmed, it was calculated extra with 0.80 euro per serving! a waffel from the waffel iron (without powder sugar or supplement) also costs 3,00 euro. total we paid for two drinks, two pieces of cake and the waffel 18 euro. also the toilets are too difficult. there is only one toilet at the ladies and one at the men. a disabled wc is missing and there is no possibility of winding. on demand at the personal was referred to the public toilets in the house opposite. there was a mini table. he was so narrow and without any chance that I could have wrapped my child as well on the floor. even if the quality in the lock prison is good, we will rarely break there. because of the price-performance ratio and the sanitary facilities, I have a point-down."

"Wir sind vorletztes Wochenende nach einem langen Spaziergang um den See im Kühl's eingekehrt. Wir setzten uns an einen freien Tisch auf die Terrasse, weil es draußen noch nicht allzu kalt war und weil drinnen alle Plätze besetzt waren. Wir hatten das Schild am Eingang leider übersehen, worauf geschrieben stand, dass heute Selbstbedienung für Gäste auf der Terrasse galt. Nach einiger Zeit fragte ich ein Pärchen ein paar Tische weiter und die sagten, man müsse drinnen bestellen. Dann ging alles ganz reibungslos. Wir bestellten drinnen an der Theke und konnten gleich ein Tablett mit Getränken für uns mit raus nehmen. Im der Truhe auf der Terrasse gab es mehr Sitzkissen als genug, sodass es ganz gemütlich war mit Blick auf den See aufs Essen zu warten. Als das Essen fertig war, wurden wir gebeten rein zu kommen und die Teller mit dem warmen Essen raus zu holen. Die junge Kellnerin trug Besteck für uns nach draußen und wir genossen unsere Speisen an der frischen Luft. Es war ein wenig überteuert dafür, dass es an dem Tag keinen Service gab, doch das Erlebnis, Anfang November am See zu Speisen war dennoch angenehm. Es war ein gelungener Besuch und das Personal am Tresen war super freundlich und bei dem hohen Andrang im Lokal war es nachvollziehbar, dass draußen die Bedienung nicht angeboten werden konnte.
