"We’d invited friends, who’d never been to this restaurant (or theatre), to join us for a meal before the performance. We arrived early for our reservation, which was at 5.45pm. We ordered ‘nibbles’ instead of starters and even these took a long time to come. However, our main courses didn’t arrive until nearly 7.10pm! Every time we chased them up (from 6.30 onwards) we were told “they’re just coming”. No explanation was ever given for the delay, and the bill was just put on the table very shortly after the food. The food itself was good, but in order to get into the theatre on time we really had to bolt it down, and we couldn’t even finish, let alone have a dessert or coffee. Horribly rushed and horribly embarrassing to have invited friends to this shambles. We were not alone other tables were also waiting and rushing. Unacceptable for a restaurant which offers a pre theatre meal."

Excellent PreTheatre meal delivered quickly and perfectly by friendly staff. Nice wine list with a tasty Hungarian Sauvignon!

Fantastic pre theatre dinner, definitely the nicest food in Cirencester and very good cocktails. Excellent service. A real treat

A great meal before going to the theatre. The food was well presented, tasted lovely and was delivered very promptly. The menu choice was very good.

The best restaurant in Cirencester, and great for pre-theatre dinner before a show at The Barn Theatre next door. Helpful, attentive and efficient friendly staff Ver carta

Worst sirloin steak I have ever had the staff didn't seem to care (can't fault the chef) but was still charged full price. Wouldn't go back here even for a free meal. Paid £50 in taxi fares to eat here so extremely disappointed

Not how Teatro used to be, such ashame. Staff unhappy, lack of training somewhat, ambience is dull, food was a let down overall, seems Chef dont care about the small details. Been coming here for 4 years, time to go somewhere else.

We went for Sunday lunch, it was awful starter of pigeon breast dry and hard, roast beef was tough, roast potatoes so hard to cut through needed a steak knife to cut them, baked Alaska pudding was basically an uncooked wet meringue on melted ice cream the whole meal was horrendous never again which is a shame as we are local not tourists!! Another pre-theatre dinner, easily booked online. A very popular place (maybe because I'm Sorry Prime Minister, I Can't Quite Remember was on at the Barn Theatre next door). I was slightly worried that the only table available was at 5.45pm but we were able to have a drink in the bar, peruse the menus before heading through to the dining area, with plenty of time for a 7.30pm show start. Lots to chose from on the pre-theatre menu. Somewhat disappointed with the croquettes with aioli and the burger....mine was well on the rare side. However, the rest of the food was great and a very pleasant bottle of Romanian rosé. Professional friendly staff, in particular a lovely Romanian lady who served...

We selected Teatro because it is joined to the theatre and meals are served with that in mind. Our starters were croquettes which were very ordinary and Asian cauliflower which was all batter, very oily and had no flavour. The Asian salad was ok though. Our mains were the burger which was dry, and served without the promised onion rings and with Luke warm fries. I had the fish of the day which was crispy cod on a broth base. Unfortunately, the cod looked like it was sitting in a bowl of milk with small cubes potatoes and carrots. It was completely tasteless, so much so that I asked the manager to taste it and to ask the chef too as well. He came back and agreed, it had no flavour at all. Tha...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
