"Husband ordered mixed grill, I had a selection of startes, and daughter had a munchie sundae. Husband said it 's one of the best mixed grills that he has had at the Oak for a long time, and finished everything (this is unusual as he normally leaves various items which we take home and the dog eats well) Daughter said her munchie sundae also had flake in it, which she didn 't mind, however was this a substitute for munchie pieces? My combo starters, 2/3 were great. The mushrooms are too oily, not sure what the fix is here, but they were light, not too hot, and mushrooms inside were well cooked. Only slight gripe, we didn 't get a check-back. We were asked when collecting our plates if everything was ok, and asked to leave a review it 's too late at this point to fix any problems. Check-backs should shortly follow delivering the meals."

My steak was absolutely perfect! Warm welcome from staff. My daughter loved her burger. Waiting staff were great.

The steak came out raw when asked to be cooked blue it was fresh out of the freezer/fridge had not been cooked at all.

I highly recommend this bar as it offers excellent value for delicious food. The dishes were prepared perfectly and served promptly by the extremely polite staff.

Excellent lunch. Made even better by Jack who had our usual drinks ready at the bar for us. He was his usual friendly and happy self who made our regular Friday visit even more enjoyable

Wouldn’t bother, got my starter wrong and it wasn’t what was on the menu.. I wouldn’t ever go back the food was bland and nothing to write home about.. I’d rather pay more somewhere else for some decent tasteful food.

Came to the craft fair at the weekend. Picked up a great graze box from the fair. I then went for lunch and had a lovely meal with my family. All the food was fresh and there wasn't much left at the end. We will return soon.

The food took a while to arrive, but Oliver, the young server, was doing a fantastic job. He was the only one working for a while and was extremely busy. It turned out to be his first night serving and he did an amazing job. The food was also delicious.

The restaurant has a delightful ambiance, affordable prices for delicious food, and very welcoming staff. I would highly recommend it for a relaxed family lunch. I haven't been there at night, but it looks like a great place to enjoy a night out in their lovely beer garden.
