"I made a reservation online 6 weeks in advance for an early dinner, but when we arrived, they had no record of it. After showing them the confirmation message, they were able to seat us as the dining room was empty. We had an early dinner and some menu items were already sold out. I ordered the beef roast dinner, which was good overall, but the roast potatoes seemed reheated and the parsnips were overcooked. My husband had the steak and mushroom pie which he found to be dry with hard pastry. The price of £48.00 for a pint of beer and a glass of wine felt a bit high for the quality of the food. We don't plan on returning due to our experience with the cooking."

Excellent proprietary bitter and bruschetta to die for. Very nice place for a pub lunch!

Stopped off for a drink after work. Lovely friendly pub with a nice restaurant and sunny garden at the back. Will be going again.

My flight crew and I spent a few nights at the Stansted Raddison Blu, and after a couple of nights we needed to get out for some fresh air and a change of

great to have such a cozy, warm, family-run pub near the airport stansted. a welcome antidote for the sterile hotel where we stay overnight. we're coming back. Ver carta

beautiful service, wonderful food. if they enter the address on cards, it takes them a very funny route, but if they fall a pencil next to the pub and get directions there, they will be in order! really worth the ride.

We made a pre wedding group booking and can't praise the staff and management of The Ash Pub enough. The food was lovely and the service was very good. I personally had the rib eye steak cooked to perfection and really enjoyable. Would definitely take the time out to go back again.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Ash. I tried a new dish - vegetarian sausages with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and two delicious homemade Yorkshire puddings. It was refreshing to see something different on the menu, as many places only offer veggie burgers as an option. I was pleased to see The Ash providing multiple choices for vegetarians. Ver carta

the staff was friendly and welcoming, but the pub was very quiet as it was the Saturday between christmas and new year, so it was a little lacking in atmosphere and was only warm enough. eating was simple, but tasty, with a slightly limited menu, given the time of the year. this was a good central point to meet the family, so we would probably use it again as it was pretty good.

was able to book a table just a few hours before, which was helpful as we traveled from a day to home. at 17.00 a.m. the waiter advised and accepted our drink order and the drinks arrived, then we had a 20-minute waiting time until our food order could be taken, the starters came out and then we had to wait another 15-20 minutes after we were finished before the tellers were cleared. in the meantime, there were employees who stood around chatting, telephones and eating. the main course came and was ok, but no one asked if we wanted sauces or more drinks, we had to go and ask someone to come. all in all no great experience and we are not pushed back.

"The Green Man at Linsell is a charming pub located off the beaten path that almost meets expectations. The pub's decor is lovely and you'll receive a warm welcome from the attentive front-of-house team. It's a step up from your typical pub, with white tablecloths and napkins that elevate the Sunday lunch experience. Getting there may require navigating through narrow single-track roads with the help of a somewhat confusing satnav, but there is ample parking available once you arrive. The drink selection is standard pub fare, though the wine list appears reasonable. For our meal, we both opted for the beef Sunday roast. While everything was cooked well, the dishes lacked seasoning and punch to truly elevate the flavors. One dish that stood out was a broccoli cheese concoction that seemed odd and wasn't to our taste. For dessert, we tried the crumble and brownie bake. The crumble, advertised as apple and blackberry or blackcurrant, felt lacking in the black element, resulting in what appeared to be a purple apple crumble. Despite these drawbacks, we cleaned our plates and left feeling satisfied and ready for a post-meal walk with our dog. The bill came to £30 per person, drinks included, making it a reasonably priced Sunday lunch option. Overall, The Green Man at Linsell is worth a visit for a leisurely lunch in a pleasant setting."
