"Often walked past this but went in for the first time today cos we wanted something quick and easy. It was amazing and we will definitely come back again! Really friendly and helpful staff, clean inside, and seats to wait. Food was freshly cooked and reasonably priced, and it tasted sooooo good. I think it's probably the best fish and chips I've ever had."

Stopped doing GF fish and chips on a Saturday. Been coming monthly for years, but as no longer doing a Gf option, we’re no longer patrons

Very good. I enjoyed fish and chips at the table, although it was a little soggy. the apple juice was very good. I enjoyed the time with my friend at the table in the load.

I've collected for 'A.N.Other'. very popular chippy. busy. it's worth going out of that. good selection of fried products, including 'gluten free. a sign says that sunflower oil is used for all its products. however, minimal choice for vegan, therefore the one star abduction.

We stopped by for a late dinner takeaway. They still had their daytime special pricing signs out which was a bit frustrating. The chip portions were generous, the chips were fresh and the cardboard box was a nice touch. The fish cakes were just the standard mass-produced kind, but overall we enjoyed our meal. I would recommend this place.

We arrived after 8.pm not realising that that is when table service ends. No worries, chairs pulled off the table and our order was then freshly cooked. Did we want Tarter sauce, something of which I’m not normally a fan? It is home made, we were told, and what a revelation after years of avoiding the glass jar version this was wonderful.

I would say it's probably the best chippy in the city. the milkshakes are also great and the curry sauce is really beautiful. I tend to choose this chippy over the others in cheltenham. good service and tends to be very fast. I also ordered it a few times through deliveroo and it's always good. the curry sauce they do is very good! must try.

I walked into the restaurant and was immediately served. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly! I'm not usually a fan of fish and chip shops, but the kids wanted it... I couldn't find any faults with the food. It wasn't greasy or heavy, and the curry sauce was delicious! I am definitely a fan of fish and chip shops now.

We had dinner for six at this restaurant over the weekend, near closing time. We ordered a variety of dishes for 6 adults and sat at the clean and inviting indoor tables. The food was delicious, portion sizes were generous, and the staff were incredibly friendly with great banter. We would definitely consider stopping by to eat here again in the future.

"The story: Two weeks prior, peeking through the restaurant window, I was intrigued to see the kitchen artizans hard at work creating sushi platters that looked vibrant but also elegant. On the 14th November at lunchtime, I was looking forward to trying Kibou as Japanese cuisine is one of my favourites. It's very hard to see the same level of unique variety that Kibou has compared to the few Japanese restaurants I am local to. We wanted to try an array of items and the mini seasonal menu had just been released in time for our visit as well. The food: The Jo Moriawase and New Style Sashimi were great introductions to the first impressions of the quality and range of the dishes available as they were the assortment dishes. Our server provided us with guidance on what we should try first on the Jo Moriawase in order to prevent ending up with eating soggy nori which we appreciated. The Black Cod Nigiri is nothing I have ever tried before so this was also an interesting experience for our tastebuds. My dad has a tough palate to appease but to my surprise, he was satisfied with the Spider Roll Temaki and Chashu Ramen (he thought the pork broth could have been less strong but nonetheless still enjoyed, not like the artificial flavourings you get in an instant ramen if you know what I mean). The Chirashizushi was great for me as I love my sashimi. I didn't realise the yellow portions were actually tamago/egg roll until I tasted it. Some sort of gastronomical wizardry? My mum really lavished the Yaki Udon textures, with the udon noodles having the right amount of nudge needed to chew and biting into the nice crispy outer layer of the tofu. My only regret is not having enough room to try the desserts. Overall, a unique adventure for the tastebuds! The price: If you are extremely budget conscious, perhaps I would not be able to recommend Kibou to you. For a family of three, we were about £40-50 per person. As of my visit, the service charge is 10%. Don't get me wrong though, I think the service charge is fair and reasonable because our experience with the staff we talked to and came by our table were lovely. The atmosphere: Family-friendly but also evening bar feel. Sakura Cherry Blossom and other Japanese-related art themes run throughout the restaurant. The service: We didn't have to wait very long to be seated or served. The waiting staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff did an amazing job with the food. Would I come again?: Yes, as a treat! Plus I want to try the dessert next time! :"
