A great spot for lunch or dinner if you are on a canal boat holiday. Seems to be places to moor your boat safely. We were meeting for drinks, though I believe the food is good.

The staff are very attentive couldn't help us enough, they altered food to our liking very flexible for our awkward lot) everything was delicious and served in good time all cooked to order) definitely a must try. Ver carta

We had a Baby shower Afternoon tea for my daughter this afternoon and it was just superb. The food was tasty, very fresh and beautifully presented and the service was excellent. Can't recommend The Big Lock enough. Big Thanks

As a dutchman this was my first time going to an english pub. Although I had an oldschool pub in mind, The Big Lock pub didn't disappoint me. The interior is very nice, comfortable seats and sofas and the staff is hospitable. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

We had a fantastic experience. The Sunday dinner was amazing!!!! Huge portions and so fresh! The waitress couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was a problem!! Came today to have look and see what it's like. As soon as we walked through the door the staff were welcoming and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing and presented lovely, drinks were lovely. We will definitely be back for out family meal before Xmas. Already recommended to family and friends. I really enjoyed my visit to The Big Lock Pub Restaurant. The service was really good from the two waitresses and the atmosphere was really warm and inviting. The food was suitable for its setting. However, I do wish there were more adventurous options on the menu, as I honestly did struggle to choose something, so I played it safe with a steak. The steak was cooked perfectly to how I asked. However, I do wish the cut was a little thicker. The chips and beef gravy for me were a big let down as the chips were not crispy, and the beef gravy tasted like an OXO cube in water. I would love to return, and I think I would. Hopefully, there are some new menu items that would be more appealing for me...

It’s the first time that I’ve been here and with my family 19/09/23 and it was my birthday. We were greeted by some lovely people with very friendly dogs that were so excited to see us. A lovely lady with amazing piercings I didn’t catch her name) came over and gave us some menus and showed us to our our table. A few minutes later she came and asked us if we had decided on what we wanted to eat but we hadn’t so she asked if we would like some drinks. We said we would but we hadn’t made our minds up and she said it’s okay I will come back. She returned a little while later and we ordered some.
