"We chose The Black Horse today for a pre Valentine’s Day lunch. A table was ready for us after only calling to book with 30 mins notice. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, I had an off menu gin cocktail made for me which was lovely and all of our food came out hot and was delicious, especially the rolo cheesecake! Really enjoyed our meal today and can definitely say we’ll be back again. We would highly recommend the black horse and really hope the new owners are successful as they were lovely too. Thank you!"

Lovely evening meal with good service and the wood burner throwing out lots of heat with lit candles at each table which made for a super cosy feeling

It’s not often you go to a pub and get a warm welcome, delicious food AND it’s good value! It’s just a shame I haven’t visited here sooner! Thanks for a lovely afternoon we shall see you again very soon

I couldn't owe it! this is the second time that I visited this pub and both the paints I was made to feel welcome by the owners. eating is absolutely phenomenal and I could not recommend it enough; at a distance the best fish and chips I've ever had. that is not your usual 'pub food'.

first visit for a past and the first since the takeover of the new management. I was really impressed. the couple that is running now is charming and could not have been more helpful. our family came to lunch, not booked in advance. what I really liked is that eating has gone back now to be just good and delicious pub duck. in no case. we all really enjoyed our delicious lunch. in the words of general macarthur I will be back!
