The bar staff here really lovely and welcoming and really impressed with the food! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!!

Lovely Sunday lunch good size portions ,lots of fresh vegetables,nice roast potatoes,and Yorkshire pudding,had turkey, very tasty and great tasting gravy,crumble and custard for dessert ,very filling,delicious all round,will be back very soon,friendly staff

Just had another lovely Sunday lunch at The Black Horse. Excellent food, crispy roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds, succulent roast meats and vegetables including delicious braised red cabbage. As always the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We will return! Ver carta

Excellent Sunday roast as usual. My favourite place to take family for a Sunday lunch. Surprised to know that the restaurant wasn’t being used but the bar side was perfect and less formal when you have a 20 month old with you. The roast potatoes were a better standard than previously.

Have only ever been for Sunday lunch before which was superb. This time called in for meal and what a meal!!!. Service impeccable, lovely ambience in bar area where we chose to sit. The food was amazing not your normal pub menu but really imaginative dishes cooked to perfection. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening

Called in for a meal on the way home from a funeral. Placed order for 2 meals when the food came it was no better then a road side burger van bland and cold. The floor under the table was sticky as was the table. When asked if the staff could wipe the table we found them rude. Give this diva place a miss. Better places to dine in the area. Ver carta

The food was delicious and always is. Such a mouthwatering menu, prepped and cooked to the highest standards. Such lovely waitresses just the right level of attention . Always greeted professionally by a smiley and friendly face. It really is a lovely place with an exceptional dining experience. Can't wait to come back again very soon. We are regulars who visit the pub because the food is nice and the staff are lovely. We always get a warm welcome and attentive service. The menu changes every few months and I always find good vegetarian dishes that are different to what you find at other places. My husband, who is not vegetarian, enjoys all the meals he has had there and says they are of a high quality.. The venue itself is always clean and tidy. During the Covid period, we always felt that the precautions they took were far better than other restaurants we visited during this time, and they have continued to ensure the pub is hygienic to the highest standards. On a chilly March evening the bar area offers a warm welcome with a roaring fire and a convivial atmosphere.
