"Heard of this restaurant when an acquaintance posted some photos on Facebook one lunchtime. Wife and I decided to head over to Kettering to see for ourselves. It took some time to find it as it is tucked away, off Sheep St but when we went in, the welcome made the 20 mile trip was clearly well worth it. It's like stepping back in time with the place being almost a museum to the WW2 era. Look at the photos to get a feel for the place. Food was excellent with my wife having a ham baguette and myself settling for the chicken panini. Both appeared pretty quickly, were well presented with salad etc. Staff chatty and really made the visit feel as if we were old friends. This is one of these places that you just have to visit. An expert worth repeating."

Discovered driving through Kettering on our travels and stopped for lunch. The owners were super accommodating and set up tables for us outside as the inside was already full at 11:30! Food was fantastic and service was perfect … definitely worth a visit! Amazing decoration and theme.

Just got home from a lovely visit to this charming little tea shop. The food was delicious, we had two cream teas and a slice of carrot cake each and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and service was very quick and good value for money! Looking forward to returning with my parents one day for afternoon tea!

Well presented tearoom but unfortunately one of our cups had a huge crack. The food is basic but our toasted sandwiches were tasty. The addition of what looked like salad cream on the lettuce spoiled it for us. The waitress was very friendly but too quick to clear the table, despite the tearoom being quiet. My husband is hard of hearing and the piped music above us didn’t help. Ver carta

Second time we've been and as the first lovely people wonderful service. They let my daughter bring in her mini chihuahua. I had a toasties and was surprised my Daughter was able to oder high tea for one. It was plenty. So much so I had a bit. Highly recommended this cafe. Very interesting items on the walls and ceiling. The toilet is how you'd expect an older family member's, all clean and pretty.

Visited The Blitz Tea Room and Jazz Lounge and was thoroughly impressed! The 1940s theme is executed brilliantly with authentic decor and music. The Churchill Afternoon Tea was a delight, featuring delicious homemade sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The tea selection was superb, and the staff's friendliness added to the already warm atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone in Kettering looking for a unique and memorable experience! Ver carta

We booked the tea rooms for our mum’s 90 th birthday and what a good choice. From start to finish the ladies were friendly and helpful and catered for around 30 of us. The afternoon tea, a mixture of sweet and savoury was perfect, with an endless supply of tea and coffee. The cakes were delicious! A great time was had by all ,making it a very memorable celebration. We will definitely be back soon. A big thank you to all the staff.

An excellent afternoon! I would highly recommend The Blitz tea room, we have such a lovely lunch celebrating my mums birthday! From arrival to farewells the staff were very friendly and created a lovely atmosphere! We have afternoon tea for two, ordered on the day and it was no problem! Vegetarian options available. Both were delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money! The tea room itself fully submerges you into the 1940s and it’s just beautiful! You could spend a few hours just looking at all the bits and pieces. But why not have a splendid cake while you are there!! Highly recommend a visit, we will be back! Thank you for a fab time!

"Richard and I, en route from Cambridge to Shropshire, chanced upon this splendid cafe in Kettering, easily accessible from the A14. The cafe occupies a cosy space with a breakfast bar by the window, offering a lovely view of the local red-brick architecture, and a fine place from which to watch the colourful characters of Kettering passing by. Unlike some cafes, there was no 'greasy spoon ' smell, which was a boon. Instead a delightful and appetite-arousing aroma of freshly cooked bacon and eggs. Richard opted for the small breakfast, and had no trouble in swapping out his eggs and tomato for black pudding and mushrooms at no extra cost. I ordered the much-vaunted breakfast baguette. The food was cooked freshly and served quickly. Richard was impressed by the appearance of his plate, and more so by the delicious food which he consumed with gusto. Richard said the bacon was well cooked, the mushrooms were good, not too greasy, generally everything was well cooked, the only thing that could have been better was the sausage, which was fine but obviously a 'standard quality ' sausage . My breakfast baguette was fantastic, the crispy bread was marvellous and the generous filling was hot and tasty, and not at all greasy. All this, plus two steaming cups of flavoursome tea for the bargain price of £9.90. We both took the opportunity to use the facilities and we 're impressed with their cleanliness and the provision of Radox soap. On the whole a great find. We will certainly drop in again if we pass by on another adventure."
