I tried two vegetarian pizza slices yesterday and they were really nice. Keep up the good work guys, you are doing an amazing job.

Perfect resting spot. Nice music and upper and lower seating. The green tea was a little weak but nice and hot. Hot chocolate was tasty. Free wifi.

I like the style of this place. Different is good. While primarily a cafe, it serves rather nicely as pub. Had Noel, the Christmas beer from Hop factory.... Ver carta

Delicious Jamaican food with a small variety of dishes. However, the price for the size of the portion is too expensive and you're left still feeling hungry...

This is how pizza should be! Great choice of toppings, always really fresh and tasty and fantastic value. Oh and the musics always top notch too : love it! If you’re looking for a relaxed, casual place to go for some food then this is a must!

Hungry! The Block will serve you a slice of Heaven. The Pizza can be pre ordered or bought in house, but beware, they are, DELICIOUS. Well worth popping into a place that is a bit different to your usual Pizza place but you will enjoy this choice of venue Ver carta

Found this place on tripadvisor small pizza restaurant run by a great couple pizza is fantastic with a good choice of ready topped pizza cooked while you wait very well run and were playing great music aswell if you're visiting York this place is a must well done

Lots of pizza options, also vegan option. Tried the pepperoni, nduja and aubergine vegan and all great. You pay for “block” pieces of pizza on display, they then heat them up in the oven. Served on parchment paper and a tray so you can grab each piece easily as the base isn’t sloppy, but in a good way. Also you can add chilli flakes, sauces separately. For me the winner is option to shake oregano on top as well, game changer!

I visited the block and ordered 2 slices which came up to £8.50 not cheap when you can get a full pizza for that price. The toppings were very tasty so good job on that but the dough was awful sorry guys but you really need to sort that one out! Not sure if it’s the dough ingredients that is making the pizza so tough or if it’s because they re-heat it again after it’s cooked? It was as hard as a piece of cardboard… Also they reheated a slice which had rocket on it so when it came back out the rocket was not looking to good anymore, maybe add the rocket after? Shame as the concept could be amazing if the slices were cheaper (around £6.50) and the dough was better. Ver carta
