"Just happened to stumble upon this place while looking for a pint in the sunshine and what a find!! Met the lovely young girl Kia hosting the tables outside and advised me to take the seafood platter over the famous fish chips and I’m sooo pleased I did. The choppy barman did warn me it would take 30 minutes as it was so busy and everything made fresh I never mind waiting for good food when you’ve been told it will take time) And I’m so please I choose the seafood platter, the best dish I’ve eaten in 2 weeks traveling and probably the best platter I’ve had! Battered calamari, crab all white meat)pan fried king prawns, 6 giant scallops and a wonderful bitter grilled hake served with a warm bread roll, salad and a tartar sauce which a seagull decided to finish once I left the table. Huge and delicious can’t wait to come back again… thank you so much"

I had an amazing meal here today. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. I will definitely return, especially for the Caribbean Chicken Curry!

Great pub that ticked all the local Cornish seaside pint, fireplace nooks and atmosphere boxes. Super friendly staff too. Good choice of lagers too. Fish and chips was huge and soup was good.

We had the most incredible meals here, the crab linguine was full of flavour and so fresh, the squid was absolutely delicious and tender, accommodating to families, a lovely atmosphere in a beautiful location, thank you for having us!

What a charming pub! It specializes in seafood, featuring handmade chips and fish caught fresh off the boat. I tried the steak and ale pie, which had such large pieces of steak that I had to cut them up to enjoy it. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly, and the pub is dog-friendly as well, so I’ll be bringing my ex-wife along next time!

After a disappointing experience just ten minutes earlier at the Three Pilchards, we were welcomed much more warmly at the Blue Peter. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing a fantastic reception. The food was exceptional; we had the seafood platter and seafood linguine. We enjoyed every moment of our time there and will definitely be returning! Ver carta

Had to visit the Blue Peter as missed out on a previous visit. The place is amazing! So nice to find a 'local ' that is just that. The barman (also owner) made us feel incredibly welcome. I am a 'townie ' and so used to being ignored and having to join the masses to scan and order at table, Lovely pub and great food and drinks menu. Do not miss a great opportunity to fit in to a local pub with character.

The setting was great, cleanliness second to none, food excellent, pricing spot on for location, very friendly and inviting. Seagulls can be a little bothersome(trying to feed chicks) but the owners aware and suggest eating indoors. I had the seafood platter, everything was cooked to perfection...no chewy, rubbery squid, no slimey or tough scallops..just pure perfection on a plate...my other half had the large fish and chips said the batter was so light and very tasty fresh fish. A must go to place if you are in Polperro.

"I really wanted to give this lovely café 5 stars, but I had to mark them down because of the amount of time I was kept waiting just to be acknowledged and eventually served. Upon entering the café I asked at the counter if I had to wait to be seated, the lady told me to grab a table and someone would be with me soon. Twenty minutes I waited to be served, and during that time a lady from another table approached the counter and complained that her party had been waiting for quite some time and still hadn’t been served which proves I wasn’t the only customer who felt like they’d been forgotten about. I should add that I was there around 3.30pm which isn’t exactly peak trading hours. If the café was heaving with customers I could understand the wait, but it really wasn’t that busy, and I felt the customers sat outside were treated as priority rather than customers sat inside which was where I was. Customers who arrived after I did and sat outside were served long before me. I understand that it can get busy, but it would have been nice to have at least been acknowledged, rather than having staff seemingly to purposely ignore making eye contact with me. I was just about to leave when one of the staff saw me and apologised for my wait. I ordered a Chai Latte and toasted tea cake, which didn’t take long to arrive and were delicious. The decor is beautiful, and it really is a lovely café, but for future reference please acknowledge waiting customers, rather than just pretending they aren’t there!"
