Love this pub the landlord is a good chap And the food is lovely great atmosphere and good service would recommend a visit if your in the area

Ate here 2 nights running and were very impressed with the meals and staff alike. Landlord was so welcoming and meals were freshly cooked and hot. Only down side was they ran out of pies.

We were a family of 19 for a celebration lunch on a Saturday. The food was excellent and great value, the service was attentive and the restaurant itself clean and well run. We had a lovely time, thank you so much. Highly recommended. Ver carta

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. It used to be a bustling and charming pub, but when I came here for my anniversary dinner, I found that the service was very poor. Although the food was okay, there were several items on the menu that were not available.

I came to this restaurant for a special birthday after being recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The staff seemed very unhappy, and the food reminded me of basic, cheap items from my college days. I do not plan on returning. Overall, it was a terrible decision.

Dined with friends after a pre dinner drink in the lovely garden. Between us all, we had bruschetta, tempura prawns, sausage roll with black pudding starters. Mains were steak ale pie, calves liver and sausages. Pud rice pudding with lemon and a crumble. All aspects of the meal were delicious and served by cheerful efficient staff. We held our Wedding Reception at The Bolton Arms on the 13th November 2021. What can I say! Duncan and Emily were so accommodating right from the moment we met them and were discussing menus and room layout etc. On the day we couldn’t have wished for a better venue, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic time and would thoroughly recommend The Bolton Arms for any events, they definitely exceeded our expectations and made our day perfect. Thank you so much Emily and Duncan.

I recently dined at this pub on a pleasant spring evening. The building itself was quirky and interesting, with a peculiar framed pair of yellow underpants on one wall (although I didn't get a chance to investigate further). The staff appeared to be somewhat disinterested and mentioned staff shortages. I ordered a chicken parma ham dish with roast vegetables and a beer. The beer was good, but I was surprised to see the chef behind the bar, leaving me wondering who was actually doing the cooking. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. SOGGY BOTTOM! I had a craving for pie! After surgery the previous week, I needed comfort food as any form of distraction from my pain. After a long time searching on Google for lunchtime venues to eat what I wanted, I decided the Bolton Arms would be great for lunch.
