we came for the meal and were very impressed by the food. absolutely beautiful! such a nice pub and will be back soon.

Group of 5 lads turn up on mountain bikes.. very busy and so friendly! Beer was great and food was utterly fantastic!! And very reasonably priced.. Highly recommended

Visited on Sat eve and had a very lovely meal. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. It was a lovely evening and a pleasure to be at. The Morello cherry sundae is a MUST. You seriously need to try one. Do not take this off your menu. See you again soon

Really enjoyed the food and the decor set a warm scene, had to ask for the menu ! and wasn’t told that there was a chef down which meant we waited an hour for our meal. I had to ask yet again why our meal wasn’t here after half an hour. This ruined our experience for us.

a very friendly reception at the arrival has brought us to a good start, the wein and the beer was good and the waitress very helpful and nice (sorry don’t remember name) that is not because it was not unforgettable because I don’t remember names. eating was very tasty I recommend the steak pie, the gravy superb all four of us enjoyed our food, which was also hot, which is a must for me, a very pleasant evening in a very pleasant country pub, which is not to thank, we will be back

The food was very good but not really worth the wait. The staff were friendly and tried their best but the service was unreasonably slow. The wait for our food was over an hour after ordering and although we were asked if we would like any accompanying sauces, they didn’t arrive. We didn’t want to wait any longer so just carried on without them. We could have had a similar/better experience without the wait in plenty of other places so were disappointed and will choose somewhere else next time.

came with view of 2 courses, but with the delay to order once sitting, we ordered a main course. the hew was great, but the chips were so over fried they were stone-resistant oily and inedible. my men were a little better. No one asked if we dessert or more drinks or the bill for half an hour after clearing our teller, so we went to the cash, paid the bill and went. a bit disappointed really for the £60 bill that we paid for a cure and 2 drinks. more of a lunch I think. we are native, but will leave it for a bit, I think before we go back.
