"I had been to this restaurant a few times for a walk with my dog and a drink, but had never tried their Sunday roast until today. It was clear that the roast was very popular, so we decided to give it a go. I was impressed by the excellent roast with beautiful fresh vegetables and I especially enjoyed the sweet cauliflower cheese. The meat was tender and overall it was a great meal. The sticky toffee cheesecake was absolutely delicious and a must-try. The restaurant is dog-friendly and my little chi enjoyed sharing some meat with me. I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this place."

The pub food is fantastic. We were served chips with every dish we ordered, so we left feeling satisfied. The menu also included fruit and vegetables.

This charming village restaurant provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere with fantastic value for money and delicious Sunday roast. Although there was a minor booking issue, we were accommodated with a table and received excellent hospitality from the staff. Overall, we rated the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5. The average price per person is around £70-80.

I came to this restaurant for Sunday lunch and the roast was incredible. I particularly enjoyed the cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes. They were able to accommodate us before the next reservation without any issues. The waiter was attentive and friendly. This charming countryside pub is doing a great job, keep it up! I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a rating of 5 out of 5.

We try to go to the Skylark for a meal out 3 to 4 times a year. We have learnt to book even if it is lunch time as the place is a must for a meal, or even just to go for a drink. The place can only be described as a typical countryside pub, where you are made to feel welcome whether you are a regular or your first visit. This is was the wife!s birthday and the steaks we had were perfectly done. Roll on our next trip there. Parking: Sometimes the carpark is busy sometimes it is easy to get into.

"During our first visit, we found the pub in Yelverton gridlocked with cars, so we ended up here instead. The staff kindly let us in early due to the chilly and wet weather, but we still took a stroll around the attractive village. The other pub was closed, but there is a Spar and a chippy nearby, and the river looked stunning after the heavy rain. Community Christmas trees added some holiday cheer. Back at the pub, it was quiet inside with no music and a few other customers. The lower level area was closed off, and the furnishings were a bit tired, but the building itself had historic charm. The toilets were average. The friendly staff offered us a tasting of the cider as well as a bonus glassful from the box (which was a Lilley's still at 6.0%, very good). The beer selection was the usual DoomJail, so we opted for the still cider. I could envision this becoming a proper beer-focused establishment in the future, although it may not attract the right footfall or demographic. The highlight of the experience was the food, which was simple, unpretentious, and delicious. The sausage was meaty, the mash buttery, the peas plentiful, and the gravy piping hot. My friend's burger with chips and onion rings was also well received, and we cleared our plates. The portions were generous and served hot with a friendly smile. I would happily make this my local haunt. Bravo. We will definitely be back!"
