"We love this pub it's a nice place to visit, proper good local pub. Only lager on tap is Carlsberg or Carlsberg export so be aware. Nice ales on though. Really disappointed with the burger and fries though. The burger I found was bland and...tasteless. Served with fries and cheese sauce which was OK. For it may of just been a bad choice as my partner had the sea bass which she said was tasty. Worth another try having something different. We did find it overpriced though"

"We were only in the area 3 days and we went there on 2 occasions. That should tell you how good this pub is. On Saturday evening we had a meal there and was blown away by how tasty and generous the meal portions were. We ordered fish and chips and the rib eye steak. The batter on the fish was crispy and light. The steak was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The serving staff were rushed off their feet but still nothing was too much trouble and they were friendly and efficient. Their own brewed ale was a perfect accompaniment to the food. We had a lovely stay in Bishop's Castle and the Three Tuns Inn was a highlight. Had we had a longer stay I have no doubt we would have paid it at least one more visit!"

"I got a takeaway here, whilst spending a few days in the area. I do like a bit of heat in my curries, I usually go for chili masala so went for a similar chicken option, described as fairly hot, and containing green chilis. I had sag paneer as a side. I can honestly say that both were the most bland dishes I have ever eaten from an Indian restaurant. The main dish lacked any heat, aside from a couple of green chilis in the sauce. There was no real depth of flavour or taste of spice otherwise, the base tasted of onion and undercooked garlic. It was unseasoned and fundamentally just tasteless. The side dish was basically cooked spinach with a few bits of paneer in it, again no spice flavour or seasoning. On getting it out of the bag there had been some leakage en route as is usual, but for the first time ever I noted that it wasn't the usual coloured oil, which you expect, but water. If I was local I wouldn't be returning a second time. I know some people frown on salt and oil, but I expect some of both in a curry."

"we had two meals here in the course of our week stays in bishop’s castle. the food was delicious and the staff was helpful. dogs are allowed in the front part of cafes, which means we can bring our dog happy. I had the lasagne and a small breakfast, both were delicious and there were no complaining on the table. they were also very good with my son who wanted a combination of breakfast items that were not reflected on the menu! we'd probably go back if we were back in the opposite."

"Visited Friday Midday before the special sold out,{always popular it was a delicious Tandoori Chicken on nan with Mango Chutney ,lettuce ,onion, and a zingy Lemon mayo, Just writing this making my mouth water. My partner loves the homemade Gourmet Sausage Rolls if he is not with me have to get him a takeaway, (and not eat it on the way home Food always delicious, and lots of choice ."
